Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia 5-6 tahun, di BKB PAUD Mawar, Kelurahan Cilangkap, kecamatan Cipayung Jakarta Timur, melalui permainan bengkel kata. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai akhir September. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan (planning), tindakan (acting), pengamatan (observing), dan refleksi (reflecting). Subjek penelitian adalah kelompok B, BKB PAUD Mawar, kelurahan Cilangkap, Kecamatan Cipayung, Jakarta Timur, yang kemampuan membaca permulaannya masih rendah dengan jumlah sebanyak 11 anak. Prosentase keberhasilan yang disepakati peneliti dan kolaborator adalah 71%. Hasil analisis data pada pra penelitian, didapat prosentase sebesar 35%. Setelah diberikan tindakan, prosentase meningkat mencapai 79,17%. Data yang diperoleh pada siklus I belum mencapai target, siklus I prosentase meningkat, mencapai 62%, maka peneliti melanjutkan ke siklus II. Dan data yang diperoleh pada siklus II, prosentase meningkat, mencapai 79,17%. Hal ini berarti dari pra penelitian ke siklus I memiliki kenaikan 27%, dari siklus I kesiklus II memiliki kenaikan 17,17%. Dan dari pra penelitian ke siklus II, memiliki kenaikan 44,17%. Berdasarkan keberhasilan prosentase yang telah diperoleh, maka hipotesis tindakan dalam penelitian ini terbukti. Adapun temuan secara kualitatif diperoleh bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia dini dapat meningkat dengan memberikan pengenalan huruf, membedakan bunyi huruf awal yang sama, membaca dengan menirukan kata, dan memahami konsep tulisan. This study aims to improve the reading skills of children aged 5-6 years beginning on Mawar Early Childhood Education, Cilangkap Village, Cipayung subdistrict, East Jakarta, said the workshop through the game. The research was conducted from August to the end of September. The method used is classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning (planning), action (acting), observation (observing) and reflection (reflecting). Subjects were group B, Mawar Early Childhood Education, Cilangkap Village, Cipayung Subdistrict, the ability to read the beginning still low with a total of 11 children. Agreed percentage of success of researchers and collaborators is 71%. The results of data analysis on a pre-study, obtained a percentage of 35%. After being given action, the percentage increased to 79.17%. The data obtained in the first cycle has not hit the target, the first cycle of the percentage increase, at 62%, the researchers went to the second cycle. And the data obtained in the second cycle, the percentage increased, reaching 79.17%. This means from pre-study to the first cycle has a rise of 27%, from the first cycle to second cycle has a 17.17% rise. And from pre�study to the second cycle, has a 44.17% rise. Based on the success percentage has been obtained, then the hypothesis of action in this proven research. The qualitative findings showed that the ability to read the beginning of early childhood can be increased by providing an introduction letter, distinguish sounds the same initial letter, read by imitating the word, and understand the concept of writing.
