Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keberfungsian keluarga terhadap kesepian pada remaja dengan kecenderungan problematic internet use. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan multiphase cluster random sampling untuk pemilihan wilayah, serta purposive sampling untuk pemilihan responden penelitian. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah 43 orang remaja dengan kecenderungan problematic interent use tinggi yang merupakan siswa-siswi dari 3 sekolah menengah atas di Kecamatan Makasar, Jakarta Timur. Pengumpulan data menggunakan De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale dan The McMaster Family Assessment Device, serta Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 sebagai instrumen screening untuk menentukan responden dengan kecenderungan problematic internet use tinggi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan keberfungsian keluarga terhadap kesepian pada remaja dengan kecenderungan problematic internet use. Pengaruh yang dihasilkan bersifat negatif, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa keefektifan keberfungsian keluarga akan mempengaruhi rendahnya tingkat kesepian pada remaja dengan kecenderungan problematic internet use. Besar pengaruh yang dihasilkan keberfungsian keluarga terhadap kesepian adalah 0,120 (12%). The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of the family functioning on loneliness in adolescents with tendency of problematic internet use. The quantitative research method was used in this research, using multiphase cluster random sampling for choosing the area and purposive sampling for choosing the sampel of this research. The sample for this research were 43 adolescents having high tendency of problematic internet use. They were high school pupils from 3 different high schools in Makasar district, East Jakarta. The data collecting was done with De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale, The McMaster Family Assessment Device and Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 as a screening instrument for choosing sample which having high tendency of problematic internet use. Regression analysis was used for hypothesis testing. The result of the research shows that there is a significant influence of family functioning on loneliness in adolescents with tendency of problematic internet use. The influence is negative. It shows that the more effective the family functioning the lower the level of loneliness in adolescents with tendency of problematic internet use. The value of the influence of family functioning on loneliness is 0,120 (12%).
