Abstract

Pneumonia is one of the diseases Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) caused by bacteria or viruses. In Indonesia, pneumonia is the second highest cause of mortality in children after diarrhea. The most number of children pneumonia that found in Indonesia is in province of West Java. Factors of pneumonia in children must be analyzed to overcome that disease. One of the methods to determine the factors are by using the analysis of Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). GWR analysis is the development of multiple linier regression analysis that can resolve spatial heterogeneity so that the result of model and parameter estimation are dierent for each region of observation. The result of GWR analysis by using Fixed Kernel Gaussian spatial weighted shows that GWR model is better than multiple linear regression model. Based on the value of R2 , the value of R2 in GWR model (88.34%) is larger than multiple linear regression model (71.86%). While, the value of Sum of Squares Error (SSE) for GWR model (3.031) is smaller than multiple linear regression model (7.317). In general, there are three factors that signicantly in uence of children pneumonia in 2014 at West Java, those factors are the number of children malnutrition, the percentage of children who complete basic immunized and the number of health centers.
