Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul fisika kontekstual pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi yang dapat menjadi bahan ajar bagi siswa SMA kelas XI. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta Utara. Responden yang dijadikan sampel adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 1 dan MIA 3 berjumlah 36 siswa. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode penelitian Borg and Gall (1981:775) yakni penelitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu dan menguji keefektifan produk tersebut. Metode ini dipilih sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru dilapangan terhadap bahan pembelajaran fisika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas antara kelas XI IPA 1 (eksperimen) dan XI IPA 3 (kontrol) dinyatakan “normal” dan “homogen”. Sedangkan dari hasil perhitungan Nilai N-gain yang terdapat dikelas eksperimen tergolong tinggi, sedangkan dikelas kontrol tergolong sedang, dengan hasil pada kelas eksperimen 1,26 dan kelas kontrol 0,49. Hasil penelitian menunjukan modul yang dikembangkan berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan layak dikembangkan sebagai bahan ajar belajar siswa. This study aims to generate a contextual physics module on the subject of work and energy into teaching materials for high school students of class XI. The study was conducted in SMA 72 of North Jakarta. Respondents sampled were students of class XI and MIA 1, MIA 3 amounted to 36 students. In this study used research methods Borg and Gall (1981: 775) the research used to produce a particular product and test the effectiveness of the product. This method is chosen according to the needs of teachers teaching in the field of materials physics. The results showed the test for normality and homogeneity between class XI IPA 1 (experimental) and XI IPA 3 (control) declared "normal" and "homogeneous". While the results of the calculation of the N-gain value contained experimental class is high, while the control class is classified, with the results of the experimental class 1,26 and control class 0,49. The results showed that the modules developed successfully improve student learning outcomes and teaching materials should be developed as a student learning.
