Abstract

Mahasiswa biologi yang telah mengambil matakuliah ekologi memiliki ecoliteracy yang tinggi dan diharapkan mempunyai willingness to pay (WTP) membawa school lunch, mengingat jumlah sampah di DKI Jakarta amat melimpah. Ecoliteracy adalah memahami ekologi dan mengatasi masalah lingkungan demi keberlanjutan hidup manusia. Ecoliteracy merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi WTP membawa school lunch. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ecoliteracy dengan willingness to pay mahasiswa biologi membawa school lunch. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli-Agustus 2016 di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik survei melalui studi korelasional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara simple random sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 89 mahasiswa biologi yang telah mengambil mata kuliah ekologi. Setelah diuji prasyarat, data penelitian tidak berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Karenanya, penelitian ini menggunakan uji non parametrik dengan langsung menghitung koefisien korelasi Spearman’s rho. Koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh adalah 0,552, yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang cukup kuat antara ecoliteracy dengan WTP mahasiswa biologi membawa school lunch. Hubungan keduanya pun signifikan setelah diuji t Biology students who take ecology lesson have high level ecoliteracy, expected to have willingness to pay (WTP) bring school lunch, considering volume of waste in DKI Jakarta is high. Ecoliteracy is understanding ecology and solving environment problem. Ecoliteracy is an important factor in appearing WTP bring school lunch. The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation between ecoliteracy with willingness to pay bring school lunch on biology student. This research was conducted on July-August 2016 at State University of Jakarta. The method used is descriptive method with survey through correlational study. Sampling by simple random sampling. Quantity of sample in this research is 89 biology student who take ecology lesson. The prerequisite test showed that the data was not normal and homogen. Because of that, this research used non parametric test with calculated Spearman rho correlation coefficient. The coefficient correlation obtained was 0.552, which means there was strong enough correlation between ecoliteracy with WTP bring school lunch on biology students. Ecoliteracy contributed 30.5 % to the WTP bring school lunch. The result of this research concluded that there was correlation between ecoliteracy with WTP bring school lunch on biology student.
