Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengatahui penyebab remaja mengalami putus sekolah di PSBR Taruna Jaya. (2) Mengetahui pelaksanaan dan hasil pemberdayaan keterampilan life skill bagi remaja putus sekolah di PSBR Taruna Jaya sebagai upaya menanamkan kemandirian.Penelitian ini dilakukan di Panti Sosial Bina Remaja Taruna Jaya Tebet Jakarta Selatan selama tiga bulan dari bulan Februari sampai April 2017. Metodologi menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Sempel atau subjek pada penelitian ini adalah enam remaja putus sekolah dan dua alumni warga binaan sosial. Teknik kalibrasi keabsahan data dengan ketekunan pengamatan, triangulasi dan kecakupan referensial. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) Penyebab utama remaja di PSBR putus sekolah adalah karena faktor ekonomi. (2) Proses pemberdayaan dipanti sesuai dengan yang dikemukakan oleh Suharto melalui pendekatan 5P dan hasil pemberdayaan remaja putus sekolah melalui keterampilan life skill dalam menanamkan kemandirian remaja sudah mandiri dari aspek pengetahuan, pendapatan, keterampilan juga sikap. The study aims to : (1) find the cause of teens experience school dropouts in PSBR Taruna Jaya, (2) to know the implementation and results of the skills of life skills for teenage dropouts in PSBR Taruna Jaya, as an effort to instill self-sufficiency. The research was carried out in PSBR Tebet, south jakarta for three months long from febuari to April 2017. The methodology used is the approach of a qualitative with case studies, data collection be done through observation, interviews, records, documentation, and study of literature. The sample or the subject of this research is six teenagers drop out of school and two alumni of the trained social. The calibration of the validity of data is done by perseverance these observations, triangulation, and the referential. The data analysis is done by the reduction of data, the presentation of data, and the withdrawal of the conclusion. The result of this research concluded that ; (1) the main cause of teenagers in PSBR the school dropouts is due to economic factors, (2) the process of empowerment in an orphanage in accordance with the statement was made by Suharto through based-5P and the empowerment of youth dropping out of school through the skill life skills in instilling a sense of teenager already independent from the aspect of knowledge, income, skills, and also the attitude.
