Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media mobile learning berbasis Android pada materi Struktur Atom dan Tabel Periodik. Pengembangan media mobile learning dilakukan dengan mengadaptasi tahapan penelitian dan pengembangan Borg & Gall (2006) yang kemudian disesuaikan menjadi tiga tahapan, yaitu: analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan media, dan uji coba media. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 78 Jakarta dan SMAN 10 Tangerang mulai bulan Oktober 2016 hingga Mei 2017. Media mobile learning yang dihasilkan berupa aplikasi berbasis Android (.apk) bernama “ATOMOB” berukuran 43.41MB yang kompatibel pada perangkat Android hingga v.5.0 Lollipop dengan berbagai resolusi layar baik pada smartphone maupun tablet. Persentase hasil uji kelayakan media oleh ahli materi dan bahasa sebesar 91%, sedangkan uji oleh ahli media sebesar 94%, dengan masing-masing reliabilitas sebesar 0,70 dan 0,78. Hasil uji coba media ATOMOB oleh siswa skala kecil dan skala besar masing-masing memiliki persentase kelayakan sebesar 92% dan 93%, sementara hasil uji coba media oleh guru sebesar 94%. Interpretasi penilaian media baik oleh para ahli, siswa, maupun guru secara keseluruhan memiliki kriteria “sangat baik” pada tiap indikator penilaian, sehingga dapat disimpukan bahwa, media mobile learning yang dikembangkan telah layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. This study aims to develop an Android-Based Mobile Learning Media on Material Atomic Structure and Periodic Table. The development of mobile learning media adapted the research and development stages by Borg & Gall (2006) which was reduced to three stages: needs assesment, media development, and media testing. Research was conducted at SMAN 78 Jakarta and SMAN 10 Tangerang from October 2016 until May 2017. Mobile learning media that has been developed is an Android-based application (.apk) named “ATOMOB”, with size 43.41MB, which compatible on Android devices up to v.5.0 Lollipop with variety of screen resolution sizes on both smartphones and tablets. The percentage of media eligibility based on test results by material and languange experts is 91%, while the test results by the media experts is 94%, with each reliability valued at 0.70 and 0.78. Result of media testing on small scale and big scale students gives eligibility percentage at 92% and 93%, and media testing by teachers reaches 94%. Overall interpretation of assesments by experts, students, and teachers resulted in “very good” criteria on each assesment indicator. Therefore, mobile learning media that has been developed is feasible to be used as learning media and suitable with student’s needs.
