Abstract

Penelitian mengenai Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Keberadaan Pedagang Kaki Lima (PKL) bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat tentang keberadaan PKL di Jalan Masjid Baitul Latief yang merupakan jalan inspeksi KBT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyrakat Kelurahan Pondok Bambu. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik sampel accidental sampling yaitu siapa saja masyarakat Kelurahan Pondok Bambu yang sedang berkunjung di lokasi PKL dengan usia 18-40 tahun dan secara kebetulan bertemu dengan peneliti dapat digunakan sebagai sampel. Data diambil menggunakan kuesioner yang berisi 40 pernyataan tertutup dengan skala Likert mengenai penilaian persepsi terhadap keberadaan PKL dari indikator penerimaan dan evaluasi tentang Kebersihan Lingkungan, Kualitas Elemen Fisik, Ketertiban, Keamanan, Kemacetan, Kondisi Sosial Masyarakat, Ekonomi, Potensi Wisata. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan PKL secara penerimaan terlihat buruk bagi kondisi elemen fisik KBT dengan nilai persentase sebesar 70% masyarakat menyatakan setuju. Sedangkan terlihat baik bagi potensi wisata dengan nilai persentase sebesar 43,3% masyarakat menyatakan setuju bahwa keberadaan PKL menjadi ciri khas wisata yang terlihat unik di KBT. Persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan PKL, secara evaluasi dirasa baik bagi kondisi sosial masyarakat dengan nilai persentase sebesar 66,7% masyarakat menyatakan kurang setuju jika PKL dianggap membuat kebisingan yang mengganggu ketenangan masyarakat. Sedangkan dirasa baik untuk keamanan dengan nilai persentase sebesar 45% masyarakat menyatakan setuju bahwa keberadaan PKL mampu mengurangi potensi tindak kejahatan di Jalan Masjid Baitul Latief pada malam hari. Research public perceptions about the existence of cadger aims to find out how the public perception of the existence of cadger in Jalan Masjid Baitul Latief street which is the inspection road of East Canal Flood (KBT). The research method used is a descriptive method with survey approach. Population in this research is entire society Kelurahan Pondok Bambu. Data collection used accidental sampling technique it mean who are the people of Kelurahan Pondok Bambu Urban who are visiting at the location of cadger with the age of 18-40 years and by chance meet with the researcher can be used as a sample. Data were taken using a questionnaire containing 40 closed statements with Likert scale about perception assessment on the existence of street vendors from indicators of acceptance and evaluation on Environmental Hygiene, Quality of Physical Element, Order, Security, Congestion, Social Condition of Society, Economy, Tourism Potency. Result of this research is perception of society to existence of cadger in acceptance look bad for condition of physical element East Canal Flood with percentage value equal to 70% society agree. While looking good for tourism potential with a percentage of 43.3% of the community agreed that the existence of street vendors to be typical tourist that looks unique in East Canal Flood. Public perception on the existence of cadger, the evaluation is good for the social conditions of the community with a percentage of 66.7% of the public states less agree if the street vendors are considered to make noise that disrupt the peace of society. While it is good for the security with a percentage value of 45% of people agreed that the existence of cadger can reduce the potential for crime on Masjid Baitul Latief Street at night.
