Abstract

Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model cooperative learning tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap motivasi belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Jati 03 Pagi Jakarta Timur sebanyak 30 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen, dengan desain posttest-only control design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model cooperative learning tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu upaya dalam mengembangkan motivasi belajar dalam siswa kelas V SD. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu mengetahui kemampuan dan kebutuhan setiap siswa sehingga dapat merancang suasana dan gaya belajar yang bervariasi untuk dapat mengembangkan motivasi belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD. This experiment was intended to find the effect of Cooperative Learning Model Teams Games Tournament on the learning motivation of 5rd grade students’ Primary School. This experiment used 30 students as the sample from Jati 03 South of East Jakarta. The technique of getting the sample was cluster random sampling. The method used is an experimental method, by design Post test only control design. The data were collected through observation and analyzed by t-test. The result of the research showed that Cooperative Learning Model Teams Games Tournament positive influence on the learning motivation in science teaching of 5rd grade students’ Primary School. The implication of the research showed that the Cooperative Learning Model Teams Games Tournament type can be used as one of the efforts in developing learning motivation science teaching of 5rd grade students’ Primary School. Therefore, teachers need to know the capabilities of each student so that they can design the atmosphere and variety of learning styles and develop learning motivation in science teaching 5rd grade students’ Primary School.
