Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh informasi yang komprehensif bagaimana sejarah kehidupan Gus Dur, sehingga mampu membentuk pribadi Gus Dur yang humoris dan berpengaruh pada jalan hidupnya dikemudian hari. Selain itu, tujuan lainnya ialah mencari dampak pemikiran Gus Dur tentang humor yang mempengaruhi individu atau kelompok yang melakukan perlawanan kepada rezim Orde Baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode historis, dengan pendekatan sejarah intelektual atau yang dikenal juga dengan sejarah pemikiran. Penelitian ini mencoba menggabungkan semua faktor penyebab mengapa Gus Dur menggunakan humor dengan memperhatikan psikologis Gus Dur, sejarah hidup Gus Dur, dan Keadaan sosial masyarakat, sehingga humor yang bersumber dari pernyataan-pernyataan Gus Dur baik secara langsung maupun tertulis, menjadi suatu fenomena menarik yang menyebabkan keresahan rezim yang berkuasa dan cukup digandrungi masyarakat. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menemukan fakta bahwa ada gerakan perlawanan dari masyarakat dengan media humor yang terpengaruh dari cara Gus Dur menyampaikan kritik, diantaranya lewat kemunculan sebuah buku Mati Ketawa Cara Daripada Soeharto dan gerakan aktivis mahasiswa. Kerusuhan Situbondo pada tahun 1996 menjadi awal berkurangnya intensistas kritik Gus Dur terhadap pemerintah Orde Baru. Kerusuhan tersebut seakan menyadarkan Gus Dur bahwa pemerintah Orde Baru merupakan rezim yang akan melakukan banyak cara demi mematikan lawan politiknya. Tekanan terhadap warga Nahdlatul Ulama yang terlibat dalam kasus kerusuhan Situbondo, hal ini memaksa Gus Dur untuk berdamai dengan pemerintah Orde Baru, ditambah lagi Gus Dur harus menderita sakit pada awal 1998, sehingga Gus Dur tidak lagi melancarkan kritik-kritiknya terhadap pemerintah Orde Baru dan Presiden Soeharto hingga mundurnya Presiden Soeharto sebagai presiden. The purpose of this research to obtain information how a comprehensive history of the life of gus dur , so as to be able to form personal gus dur who humorist and had an impact on their lives dikemudian day .In addition , other purposes is looking for the impact of thought gus dur about humor that affects an individual or group who do resistance to the new order regime .This study using methods historical , with the approach the history of intellectual or otherwise known with the history of thought . his study tries to combine these factors cause why gus dur use of humor by taking account of the psychological gus dur , history of the life of gus dur , and the state of social society , so humor sourced from gus dur statements either directly or written , become a phenomenon interesting causing unrest regimes that assumed power and quite favorite the community .In this study the researchers found the fact that there is movement of resistance from society by media humor that affected of the ways of gus dur have criticized , some of them are passing the emergence of a book die way rather than laughing suharto and movement of student activists . The violence situbondo in 1996 became the reduced intensistas criticism gus dur to the new order government.The riot as if disenchant gus dur that the new order government is regime which will perform many ways by deadly his opponents.Pressure to the people nahdlatul ulama involved in the case situbondo, it forces gus dur to make peace with the new order government, plus gus dur should suffer pain in early 1998, so that gus dur no longer launched kritik-kritiknya to the new order government and president suharto to the president suharto as president.
