Abstract
Pendidikan Karakter sering menjadi bahan rujukan baru-baru ini .Nilai- nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditanamkan di sekolah merupakan upaya pembentukan character building peserta didik menjadi bangsa yang kuat dalam menghadapi persaingan masyarakat global. Pembelajaran PAI saat ini masih dianggap kurang mampu membentuk karakter dan cenderung ke aspek kognitif saja. Film adalah sebuah media audio visual yang bisa menjadi wahana hiburan serta dapat memberi pengetahuan dan pendidikan bagi penonton. Film ini merupakan salah satu media yang mengandung pesan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Film ini juga menjadi referensi untuk pendidik dalam mengembangkan model pendidikan karakter. Sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis terhadap model pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam film “Freedom Writers” pada pembelajaran yang dapat difungsikan untuk menanamkan nilai- nilai pendidikan karakter. yang menjadi fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah Apa saja nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam film “Freedom Writers”? bagaimana model pendidikan karakter dalam Film Freedom Writers? Dan Bagaimana pengembangan model pendidikan karakter pada pembelajaran PAI? Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotik teori Roland Barthes dan termasuk jenis penelitian dokumen. Dalam pengumpulan data digunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan untuk analisisnya, peneliti menggunakan metode content analysis yaitu menganalisis isi dialog, alur, setting dan karakter berdasarkan model pendidikan karakter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, terdapat enam nilai karakter dalam film “Freedom Writers, kedua terdapat tiga model pendidikan karakter dan terakhir terdapat hubungan pengembangan model pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran PAI. Character education often becomes reference material recently. Character education values inculcated in school is an effort of the formation of character building learners into a strong nation in the face of intense competition of the global community. PAI as a character-forming subjects. Messages and values of the character can be developed and obtained from different media of instruction. Learning PAI currently still considered less capable of forming characters and tends to the cognitive aspect. The film is an audio visual media could be the vehicle of entertainment as well as able to provide the knowledge and education to viewers. This film is one medium that contains the message values character education. This movie also became a reference for educators in developing models of character education. So the need to do an analysis of the educational model of the character contained in the movie "Freedom Writers" on learning that can be enabled to instill the values of character education. that became the focus in this study is what are the values of the character education in the movie "Freedom Writers"? How to model the character education in the Film Freedom Writers? And how the development of model character education to the study of PAI?. The results showed that: first, there were six values of the characters in the movie "Freedom Writers, there are various models of character education and character education development concept in PAI. This research is qualitative research includes using the approach of Roland Barthes's theory and semiotik including this type of research documents. In the data collection used method of observation and documentation. As for its analysis, the researchers used a method of content analysis that is analyzing the contents of the dialogue, plot, setting and character based on the model of character education.
