Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data empiris mengenai kiprah dan kompetensi kerja para Alumni Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Negeri Jakarta (lulusan tahun 2011 sampai dengan tahun 2013) melalui studi penelusuran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Februari sampai dengan Juli 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik survei. Populasi penelitian adalah Alumni Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang telah lulus pada tahun 2011 sampai tahun 2013 sebanyak 178 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan penetapan sebanyak 60 orang alumni (34%) dari keseluruhan jumlah alumni. Analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan penyajian menggunakan tabel frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 60 responden telah memiliki pekerjaan dengan sebanyak 49 responden (82%) bekerja dalam bidang kependidikan yaitu sebagai guru sejarah di SMA (63%) dan guru bimbel/tutor di lembaga pendidikan non formal (18%). Sisanya sebesar 11 responden (18%) bekerja dalam bidang non kependidikan seperti pegawai redaksi majalah (3%), pegawai swasta (8%), pegawai lembaga pemerintahan (5%) dan pegawai Bank (2%). Alumni menyatakan bahwa kompetensi yang dimiliki alumni dengan pekerjaannya telah sesuai harapannya dan merasa puas sehingga memperoleh prestasi kerja berupa kenaikan gaji. Dari 60 alumni hanya 7 alumni yang ikut Program Sertifikasi Guru dan hanya sebanyak 32 alumni yang ikut bergabung dalam wadah alumni Prodi Pendidikan Sejarah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alumni Prodi Pendidikan Sejarah telah memiliki pekerjaan setelah lulus kuliah sehingga kiprah dan kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh alumni telah sesuai dengan pekerjaannya, berkompetensi dengan baik dan dibutuhkan oleh penyedia lapangan kerja. This research aimed to get empirical data about the work and competence of the Alumni History Education Studies Program State University of Jakarta (Graduates 2011 to 2013) through a tracer study. This research was conducted from February to July 2017. This research used descriptive method with survey technique. The population of this research is Alumni of History Education Studies Program State University of Jakarta which has graduated from 2011 until 2013 as many as 178 people. Sampling using simple random sampling technique with the determination of 60 alumni (34%) of the total number of alumni. The analysis used is descriptive with presentation using frequency table and percentage. The results showed that 60 respondents had employment with 49 respondents (82%) working in the field of education as a history teacher in senior high school (63%) and tutors in non-formal education institutions (18%). The remaining, 11 respondents (18%) work in non-educational fields such as magazine editorial staff (3%), private employees (8%), government officials (5%) and Bank employees (2%). Alumni states that the competence of alumni with his work has been as expected and satisfied so as to obtain job performance in the form of salary increase. Of the 60 alumni, only 7 alumni participated in the Teacher Certification Program and only 32 alumni participated in the alumni organization of History Education Studies Program. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the alumni of History Education Studies Program have had the job after graduation so that the gait and competence possessed by the alumni has been in accordance with their work, competent well and needed by the employer.
