Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang batik Solok, menyangkut sejarah keberadaan batik solok, ragam hias ( motif, makna, warna, dan sumber inspirasi ); proses pembuatan; kesempatan pemakain; serta peran pemerintah daerah Solok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan teknik purposive dan snowball sampling , yakni pengambilan sumber data dengan pertimbangan tertentu yang dianggap paling mengetahui tentang permasalah penelitian. Pengumpulan data mengguanakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis dengan mencatat, mengelompokkan, menganalisis dengan menarik benang merah dan membuat deskripsi data hasil analisis. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) batik solok merupakan salah satu jenis kain nusantara yang sudah ada sejak tahun 2008 di Solok. 2) secara umum ada dua penggolongan ragam hias batik solok, yaitu batik Kabupaten Solok dan batik Kota Solok. 3) sumber inspirasi ragam hias batik Kabupaten Solok terinspirasi dari ukiranukiran yang ada di rumah gadang sedangkan batik Kota Solok terinspirasi dari sumber daya alam sekitar, khasanah adat dan tempat-tempat bersejarah di Solok. 4) proses pembuatannya sama dengan batik-batik pada umumnya yang ada di Indonesia. 5) batik Solok dapat digunakan dalam setiap kesempatan pemakaian karena tidak ada aturan dalam pemakaiannya. The porpose of this research is to know about Solok batik. It’s talk about the history of existence in Solok’s batik, decoration, which are consist of motive, meaning, colour, and a source of inspiration. This research use qualitative method, the data collection technique is used proposive technique and snowball sampling, which the is collected by considering some aspets that most know about research problem. In collecting the data, the researcher used interview technique, observation, and documentation. Whereas in analize technique used field note, grouping, analiyzing with make a conclusion and make descrition of result analysis. The result of this research are : 1) Solok batik is one of the kind of domestic cloth that has been around since 2008 th at Solok. 2) Generally, there are two kinds of decoration of Solok’s batik: solok’s district batik and Solok’s city batik. 3) The inspiration sources of decoration in batik district Solok’s from engraving carvings that are in the gadang home and while for batik Solok’s city got from natural resources around, threasure of customs and historical places at Solok. 4) the production process is the some as batik in general. 5) Solok batik can be used in every time because there is no rute in its usage.
