Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian produk aksesori kalung wanita dari daur ulang sedotan plastik bekas. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan IKK Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta pada bulan September 2016 hingga Februari 2017. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Deskriptif dengan pendekatan Kualitatif Adapun pembuatan aksesoris dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara eksperimen. Peneliti membuat lima produk aksesoris kalung wanita yang terbuat dari daur ulang sedotan plastik bekas. Prosedur pengumpulan data melalui tahap wawancara pada lima orang informan ahli dalam bidang fashion dan aksesoris. Tahapan penelitian berupa pengumpulan gambar selama proses pengolahan dan pembuatan aksesoris kalung wanita dari daur ulang sedotan plastik bekas. Setelah melakukan tahapan penelitian, dilakukan penilaian produk aksesoris kalung dilihat berdasarkan teori produk, teori unsur desain dan prinsip desain. Hasil penilaian informan ahli berdasarkan teori produk maupun teori desain berupa deskripsi data menunjukan bahwa produk aksesori kalung wanita dari daur ulang sedotan plastik bekas memiliki nilai fungsi sebagai aksesoris busana dari segi teori produk dan teori desain meliputi unsur dan prinsip desain. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa sedotan plastik bekas memiliki nilai sebagai bahan baku pembuatan aksesoris kalung wanita. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berguna untuk memberi informasi dan motivasi terutama dalam meningkatkan kualitas dari segi kreativitas pengusaha mode dalam memanfaatkan barang yang sudah tidak terpakai menjadi suatu produk fashion yang baik. The purpose of research is to find out the appraisal of necklace accessories for woman from the recycle of wasted straw. This research was located in Family Welfare Department Technical Faculty State University of Jakarta on September 2016 until February 2017. This research used Descriptive method of making a qualitative approach with experiments. Researcher made five necklace accessories products which is made by the recycle from wasted straw. The procedure of data collection has been through the interview process to five panelist who expert in fashion and accessories. Stage of the research consist of collecting images due to the research, processing and manufacture of necklace accessories products from the recycle of wasted straw. Afterwards, value of product consist of product theory and design theory. The result of panelists consist of product theory and design theory are form of data description represented that the necklace accessories products which is made by the recycle from wasted straw are a fashion complementary from product theory aspects and design theory aspects which are design element and design principal. The result of acceptability of products that wasted straw has a value as a raw material for manufacture of necklace accessories practical. Hopefully this research can be useful to provide information and give motivation especially for improving the creativity quality of fashion entrepreneurs in utilizing the waste into a products that is good for fashion industry.
