Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Think Pair Share dengan media gambar berseri terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerita fabel pada siswa kelas VIII MTs. Al-Islamiyah Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2016-2017, semester satu bulan November di kelas VIII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian adalah pretes-posttes. Populasi penelitian ini ialah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di MTs. Al-Islamiyah Jakarta. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara random atau acak, yang diambil dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dn VIII2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang merupakan kelas yang menggunakan metode yang diterapkan oleh guru. Kelas eksperimen mendapat perlakuan berupa penggunaan metode Think Pair Share dengan media gambar berseri. Selain itu, jumlah siswa dari kedua kelas yang dijadikan sampel memiliki jumlah yang sama, yakni 38 siswa. Hasil kedua bentuk pembelajaran tersebut kemudian dibandingkan dan dilihat untuk memastikan ada atau tidaknya pengaruh antara metode Think Pair Share dengan media gambar berseri dengan kelas yang menggunakan metode yang diterapkan oleh guru. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah tes kemampuan menulis teks cerita fabel. Berdasarkan analisis uji homogentitas dapat disimpulkan bahwa sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini memiliki varian yang homogen. Didapatkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis teks cerita fabel pada prates kelas eksperimen adalah 73,68, sedangkan nilai pascates kelas eksperimen adalah 91,38. Pada kelas kontrol prates siswa adalah 61,40, sedangkan rata-rata hasil pascates siswa adalah 84,39. Dari data tersebut terlihat bahwa kemampuan menulis teks cerita fabel kelas kontrol terbilang cukup, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan. Hal tersebut tentunya disebabkan karena adanya perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen berupa metode Think Pair Share dengan media gambar berseri. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji-t, diperoleh thitung sebesar 5,26 dan ttabel sebesar 2,37 pada dk=74 dan taraf signifikan α=0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan thitung>ttabel. Jadi dapat dinyatakan bahwa Ha ditolak (ada pengaruh). Artinya ada pengaruh metode Think Pair Share dengan media gambar berseri terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerita fabel kelas VIII MTs. Al-Islamiyah Jakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of learning methods Think Pair Share with media images beamed to the ability to write text fable in class VIII MTs. Al- Islamiyah Jakarta. The research was conducted in the academic year 2016-2017, the first half of November in class VIII. The method used is the method of experimental research design was pretest-posttes. The population of this research is all eighth grade students in MTs. Al-Islamiyah Jakarta. Sampling was done by random or random, taken two classes, VIII1 as an experimental class dn VIII2 as control class is a class that uses the methods applied by teachers. Experimental class got treatment methods involve using Think Pair Share with media images beamed. In addition, the number of students from the second grade as the samples have the same number, which is 38 students. The results of both forms of learning are then compared and visits to make sure whether or not the influence of methods of Think Pair Share with media images glow with a class that uses the methods applied by teachers. The instrument used is to test the ability to write text fable. Based homogentitas test analysis can be concluded that the samples used in this study has a homogeneous variant. Obtained average value fable ability to write text on a pre-test experimental class is 73.68, while the value of post-test experimental group was 91.38. On the pretest control class students is 61.40, while the average post-test results of the students was 84.39. From these data it appears that the ability to write text fable control class is quite, while the experimental class has increased significantly. This is certainly due to the treatment of the experimental class in the form of methods Think Pair Share with media images beamed. Based on t-test calculation, obtained t-table 5.26 and 2.37 at dk = 74 and α = 0.05 significance level. It can be concluded thitung > t-tabel. So it can be stated that Ha is rejected (no influence). This means that there is the influence of methods of Think Pair Share with media beamed images of the ability to write text fable class VIII MTs. Al-Islamiyah Jakarta.
