Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh aspek kejiwaan manusia yang tercermin dalam setiap tokoh dalam sebuah novel, termasuk novel Lelakon karya Lan Fang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan mekanisme pertahanan diri yang dilakukan tokoh- tokoh utama dalam Lelakon untuk mencari tahu mekanisme apa yang digunakan para tokoh untuk mempertahankan keberadaan dirinya masing-masing. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah: 1) bagaimanakah unsur intrinsik yang membangun novel Lelakon karya Lan Fang dan; 2) bagaimanakah mekanisme pertahanan diri pada tokoh utama dalam novel Lelakon karya Lan Fang. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian tersebut dilakukan analisis tema, penokohan, plot, dan latar. Tema novel Lelakon adalah kecemasan yang dialami oleh setiap tokoh. Tokoh utama dalam novel ini adalah Mon, Fantasi, dan Bulan. Hasil dari rangkaian analisis ini adalah adanya mekanisme pertahanan diri pada tokoh utama yang merupakan bentuk pelarian dari kenyataan untuk menutupi dan menghilangkan rasa cemas mereka sebagai usaha pertahanan diri. Mekanisme pertahanan diri yang ditemukan adalah aspek 1) proyeksi, 2) pengalihan, 3) rasionalisasi, 4) regresi, 5) agresi dan apatis, 6) fantasi dan stereotip. Dari keenam mekanisme pertahanan diri yang dianalisis, terdapat satu mekanisme pertahanan diri yang dominan dilakukan ketiga tokoh utama yaitu mekanisme pertahanan diri fantasi untuk menjadi solusi, menutupi, dan menghilangkan kecemasan mereka. The research was distributed by the human relations are reflected in every character in a novel, the novel includes Lelakon work of Lan Fang. The purpose of this study is to describe the mechanism of self defense that carried the main figures in Lelakon mechanisms to find out what used the character to sustain the existence of himself. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The outline of the research problems are: 1) the intrinsic elements that build up how novel Lelakon work of Lan Fang and; 2) how does the mechanism of self-defense on the main character in the novel Lelakon work of Lan Fang. To achieve the goal of the research is carried out an analysis of the themes, characters, plot, and setting. The theme of the novel is Lelakon anxiety experienced by each character. The main character in this novel is Mon, fantasy, and the moon. The results of this analysis is the existence of a mechanism of self-defense on the central character of which is a form of escapism from reality to cover and remove their anxiety as self defense. Self defense mechanism found are aspects 1) projection, 2) redirects, 3) rationalization, regression), 5 4) aggression and apathy, 6) fantasy and stereotypes. Of the six self-defense mechanisms that were analyzed, there was one dominant self defense mechanism is carried out the third main character, i.e. the mechanism of self defense fantasy to be the solution, cover, and remove their anxiety.
