Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan kemandirian tokoh utama dalam novel Supernova: Partikel karangan Dewi Lestari dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran di SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada perkembangan psikologi tokoh utama yang melalui pendekatan psikologi sastra. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tokoh utama dalam novel Supernova: Partikel karangan Dewi Lestari melalui 6 tahapan dalam perkembangannya, yaitu: (1) tingkatan impulsif dan melindungi diri, (2) komformistik, (3) tingkat kesadaran diri, (4) tingkat saksama, (5) tingkat individualistik, dan (6) tingkat kemandirian. Ditinjau dari pembelajaran sastra, penelitian ini dapat dikaitkan dengan materi ajar tentang novel dengan unsur instrinsik, yaitu tokoh utama dalam novel yang dipelajari. Materi tersebut tertera pada pembelajaran sastra di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) kelas XII, KD 3.3. Menganalisis teks novel baik melalui lisan dan tulisan, serta KD 4.1. Menginterpretasi makna teks novel. This research is purposed to find out the protagonist independency development of Super Nova novel. The particle from Dewi Lestari script and its implication towards learning in senior high school. The used methodology was descriptive qualitative with content analysis technique. This research is focused on development of the protagonist using psychology literature approach. The result this research shows that the protagonist of Super Nova novel: the particle from Dewi Lestari script through 6 steps in its independency development, which, (1) impulsiveness and self protection level that showed from how the protagonist is looking at her father as a God and to judge something from the way her father judged. (2) the compromistic, of this level, the protagonist showed the way she looks her father as a ordinary human figure and could understand what her mother tought of her father behaviour. (3) the self conscious level, showed by how she could take self decision after she payed her attention to what other people around her had been tought. (4) the clear level, beside she took a self decision for her self, the protagonist is also trying to take responsibility towards the decisions she made. (5) individualistic level showed by how the protagonist start to judge the problems around her and what kind of attitude she could wisely shown, and (6) independency level showed by how the protagonist start to being objective, either for her self or other. Reviewed from the literature study, this research could be attached to teaching material about novel with intrinsic element, which the protagonist from the novel itself. The material attached on literature study in senior high school (SMA) class XII, K.D 3.3. Text analysing from novel, either from oral or textual, also K.D 4.1 interpretative meaning of novel text.
