Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan menulis seorang siswa. Keterampilan menulis bahasa Prancis yang dimiliki siswa kemungkinan besar dipengaruhi oleh situasi dan kondisi yang berasal dari dalam diri maupun dari luar siswa. Untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor tersebut diperlukan teori yang mendukung penelitian yaitu “Facteurs qui influencent l’apprentissage scolaire” dari Pauline Minier yang menyatakan adanya faktor internal dan faktor eksternal yang berasal dari siswa. Prosedur penelitian mengacu pada protokol studi kasus yang dipaparkan oleh Robert K.Yin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode studi kasus sehingga instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dibantu dengan tabel analisis. Subyek penelitian ini adalah seorang siswa kelas XII (AM) di SMA Negeri 68 Jakarta. Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan menulis siswa, dilakukan observasi di sekolah dan rumah siswa, kemudian juga dilakukan wawancara kepada siswa yang bersangkutan, guru pengampu bahasa Prancis, dan orang tua siswa. Seluruh hasil observasi dicatat ke dalam catatan lapangan dan hasil wawancara diubah ke dalam bentuk transkrip. Setelah seluruh data terkumpul, maka dilakukan analisis menggunakan analisi perjodohan pola yaitu, membandingkan pola yang didasarkan atas empiri dengan pola yang diprediksikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar keterampilan menulis seorang siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dalam tataran kognitif serta tataran konatif dan faktor eksternal meliputi konteks kelas, karakteristik guru, konteks keluarga dan konteks sosial. Kedua faktor ini saling melengkapi satu dengan yang lainnya dan saling berinteraksi dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar keterampilan menulis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus yang meneliti seorang siswa, maka penelitian selanjutnya disarankan dapat meneliti satu kelas dan dapat mengkaji keterampilan berbahasa lainnya seperti berbicara, membaca dan menyimak. This research aims to examine the factors that affect the writing competence of a student. The writing competence of a student have a potential to be influenced by the circumstances that comes from within and from outside student. To assess these factors we use the theory of Pauline Minier “Facteurs qui influencent l’apprentissage scolaire” which reported an internal factors and external factors that come from students. The procedure of the research refers to Case Study Protocol presented by Robert K.Yin. This study used a qualitative approach with case study method and the researcher is the instrument supported by analysis tables. The subject of this research is one student (initial: AM) in twelfth grade at SMA Negeri 68 Jakarta. The methods used in this research are observation (classroom and home observation), interview (French teacher and parents), and documentation in the purpose of determine the factors that influence students' french writing competence. The results of all observations are recorded in the field notes and the results of interview converted into the transcripts. Once all the data is collected, we analyzed using pattern matching that compare the empiric situations with the predicted patterns. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students' french writing competence is influenced by internal factors such as cognitive and conative level and external factors include the context of the classroom, teacher characteristics, family context and social context. Both of these factors are complementary to one another and those factors interact in affecting outcomes of students' french writing competence. This research is a case study that examines one student so it is suggested to the further research that could examine one class and the other french language competences such as speaking, reading and listening.
