Abstract

Miskonsepsi adalah interpretasi yang tidak sesuai mengenai suatu konsep. Miskonsepsi sering ditemukan dalam pemahaman konsep�konsep mikroskopis dalam biologi seperti konsep mitosis dan meoisis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman konsep dan kategori miskonsepsi yang sering muncul mengenai konsep mitosis dan meiosis pada Calon Guru Biologi UNJ. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Jakarta pada bulan November 2014 hingga bulan Februari 2015. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik Drawing-Writing dan wawancara. Responden penelitian ini yaitu 54 calon guru biologi yang berasal dari program studi tersebut. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsep calon guru Biologi UNJ berada pada tingkat miskonsepsi dengan persentase miskonsepsi sebesar 53,7% dalam pemahaman konsep pada mitosis dan 33,3% dalam pemahaman konsep meiosis. Miskonsepsi yang teridentifikasi berkaitan dengan kategori struktur kromosom, jumlah kromosom, replikasi kromosom, interfase, dan tahapan meiosis. The misconception is a wrong interpretation related to the concept. Misconceptions often found in concepts understanding such as the concept of microscopic biology of mitosis and meiosis. The purpose of this study was to determine concept understandings level and category of identified misconception related to mitosis and meiosis on UNJ Biology Teacher candidates identify misconceptions in the concept understandings of mitosis and meiosis in UNJ Biology teacher candidates. This Research conducted at the Biology Education Study Program, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Jakarta in November 2014 through February 2015. The method in this research was descriptive method with Drawing-Writing Technique Survey and personal interviews.The Respondent of this research were 54 biology teachers candidate from UNJ Biology Education Program. This study showed that the level of concept understandings of UNJ Biology teacher candidates are at Misconception levels which the misconceptions percentage by 53.7% in the concept understandings of mitosis and 33.3% in the concept understandings of meiosis. identified Misconceptions that related to categories structure of chromosome, chromosome number, chromosome replication, interphase, and stages of meiosis.
