Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan perilaku empati anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Tunas Mandiri Bogor. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B1 TK Tunas Mandiri Bogor usia 5-6 tahun sebanyak 9 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan hasil analisis data kuantitatif diperoleh prosentase empati sebesar 66% pada siklus I dan 74,2% pada siklus II. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan hipotesis tindakan bahwa terjadi kenaikan dari pra penelitian ke siklus I dan siklus II melebihi 71% maka hipotesis diterima. Hasil analisis kualitatif berdasarkan catatan lapangan, catatan wawancara, dan juga catatan dokumentasi menemukan bahwa kegiatan storytelling dapat meningkatkan empati anak usia 5-6 tahun. Kegiatan storytelling dapat mendorong anak berperilaku empati. Aspek perilaku empati yang muncul setelah mendapatkan tindakan berupa kegiatan storytelling yaitu mampu menerima sudut pandang orang lain, peka terhadap perasaan orang lain dan mau mendengarkan orang lain. Dengan demikian berdasarkan data kuantitatif dan juga data kualitatif yang diperoleh peneliti dapat dinyatakan bahwa kegiatan storytelling dapat meningkatkan empati anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Tunas Mandiri Bogor. ********* This study aims to improve the behavior of children aged 5-6 years empathy in kindergarten Tunas Mandiri Bogor. The subjects were children kindergarten group B1 Tunas Mandiri Bogor aged 5-6 years as many as 9 people. The method used is action research. Data collection using the instrument, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that based on the results of the analysis of quantitative data obtained empathy percentage of 66% in the first cycle and 74.2% in the second cycle. These results indicate conformity with the hypothesis that an increase in acts of pre-study to the first cycle and second cycle exceeds 71%, then the hypothesis is accepted. Results of the qualitative analysis based on field notes, interview notes, and also records the documentation to prove that the activities of storytelling can increase the empathy of children aged 5-6 years. Storytelling activities to encourage children to behave empathy. Behavioral aspects of empathy that appears after getting action in the form of storytelling activity that is able to accept the other person's perspective, sensitive to the feelings of others and willing to listen to others. Therefore, based on quantitative data and qualitative data obtained by researchers can be stated that the activities of storytelling can increase the empathy of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Tunas Mandiri Bogor.
