Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data tentang pergeseran nilai budaya pada upacara perkawinan adat Suku Mbojo, Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian dilakukan di Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat selama 4 bulan terhitung bulan Januari 2017 sampai dengan April 2017. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan melalui pengamatan, observasi, dan wawancara secara mendalam dengan empatinforman yaitu perias pengantin Suku Mbojo, pemandu adat perkawinan suku Mbojo, peneliti di bidang sejarah, dan praktisi budaya, serta sepuluh masyarakat suku Mbojo, Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat yang sudah menikah. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa pergeseran nilai budaya pada upacara perkawinan adat Suku Mbojo ini terjadi karena adanya globalisasi dan merupakan hal yang perlu diwaspadai oleh masyarakatnya. Dari berbagai sumber informan yang telah diwawancarai mereka merasa prihatin dan bahkan resah atas terjadinya pergeseran nilai budaya pada upacara perkawinan adat Suku Mbojo ini, tetapi masyarakat sendiri masih terpengaruh globalisasi modern yang berkembang dan mengesampingkan keutuhan budaya daerahnya. This study aims to obtain data about the shift of customary marriage ceremony Suku Mbojo, Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. The study was conducted in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara for 4 months starting from January 2017 until April 2017. The method used is kualitative descriptive method which is done through observation, observation, and in-depth interviews with four informants namely bride makeup Mbojo, Mbojo marriage custom guides, researchers in the field of history, and cultural practitioners, and ten communities of Mbojo, Bima, Nusa Southeast West who are married. The results of this study resulted in the conclusion that the shift of customary marriage ceremony Suku Mbojo is due to globalization and is something to watch out for by the people. From various sources of informants who have been interviewed they feel concerned and even anxious over the shift of customary marriage ceremonies of the Mbojo Tribe, but the community itself is still affected by the growing modern globalization and put aside the cultural integrity of the region.
