Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian produk rompi dari limbah kaos dengan teknik makrame. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan IKK Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta pada bulan Mei 2016 hingga Februari 2017. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif adapun pembuatan produk rompi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara eksperimen. Peneliti membuat lima produk rompi yang terbuat dari limbah kaos dengan teknik makrame. Prosedur pengumpulan data melalui tahap wawancara pada lima informan ahli dalam bidang fashion dan seni rupa. Tahapan penelitian berupa pengumpulan gambar selama proses pengolahan dan pembuatan rompi dari limbah kaos. setelah melakukan tahapan penelitian, dilakukan penilaian produk rompi dilihat berdasarkan material yang ditinjau dari segi warna, bentuk, tekstur,motif dan pembuatan dengan teknik makrame. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan penilaian rompi dari material limbah kaos berupa deskripsi data menunjukkan bahwa rompi dari material limbah kaos layak sebagai bahan baku pembuatan rompi dari segi warna, tekstur, bentuk, motif, dan teknik makrame. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berguna untuk memberi informasi dan motivasi terutama dalam meningkatkan kualitas dari segi kreativitas pengusaha mode dalam memanfaatkan barang yang sudah tidak terpakai menjadi suatu produk fashion yang baik. This research aim is to determine the evaluation of Vests which produce from shirt waste by Makrame technique. This research conducted in Faculty of engineering, Major in family welfare of Universitas Negeri Jakarta within May 2016 to February 2017. The method of the research is descriptive with qualitative approached as for the vest production in this research conducted by doing experiment. Researcher create five vest product made by shirt waste with Makrame technique. The procedure of data collection is by interviewing five professional informants who are expert within the subject of fashion and art. The form of the research is by collecting pictures during the process of producing the Vest from the shirt waste. After conducting the research, product assessment reviewed based on material quality such as colors, shape, texture, and motif as well as Makrame technique establishment. The professional evaluate the product mentioned based on the quality material of shirt waste by declaring that the shirt waste could value as raw material for vest production. This research is expected to deliver important information and motivation especially in increasing the quality of creativity of fashion entrepreneurs in harnessing unused material into useable fashion product.
