Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai empirisme dalam novel Pour Que Tu Ne Te Perdes Pas Dans Le Quartier karya Patrick Modiano sebagai pemenang Nobel Sastra tahun 2014. Kategori empirisme dalam penelitian ini bertumpu pada dua jenis empirisme yaitu empirisme eksternal dan empirisme internal menurut John Locke. Adapun empirisme yang akan dipaparkan dilihat dari tokoh utama dalam novel ini yang bernama Jean Daragane. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi dengan memaparkan unsur intrinsik karya sastra yaitu penokohan, alur cerita, latar tempat, latar waktu dan latar peristiwa. Tahap berikutnya adalah mengidentifikasi dan menginterpretasikan data yang mengandung nilai empirisme dalam bentuk tabel berisi kutipan kalimat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya seratus data berupa kutipan kalimat dalam novel Pour Que Tu Ne Te Perdes Pas Dans Le Quartier karya Patrick Modiano yang didominasi oleh kutipan kalimat yang mengandung empirisme eksternal sejumlah 58 data sedangkan sisanya yaitu kutipan kalimat yang mengandung empirisme internal sejumlah 42 data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa novel Pour Que Tu Ne Te Perdes Pas Dans Le Quartier karya Patrick Modiano mengandung nilai empirisme. Empirisme tersebut tergambar oleh tokoh utama yaitu Jean Daragane yang mengumpulkan rangkaian pengalamannya untuk mengingat kembali beberapa pengalaman yang tak ia ingat di masa lalunya. This study aims to gain a deep understanding of empiricism in the novel Pour Que Tu Ne Te Perdes Pas Dans Le Quartier works of Patrick Modiano as the winner of Nobel Prize for Literature in 2014. The category of empiricism in this study relies on two types namely empiricism external and empiricism internal by John Locke. The empiricism will be seen from the main character in this novel named Jean Daragane. The method used for this research is qualitative method with the approach of psychology literature. Analysis of this study using content analysis by describing intrinsic elements of this literary works which is plot, setting point, setting the time and the background of the events. The next stage is to identify and interpret data containing the value of empiricism in the form of tables containing sentence quotes. The results of this study showed one hundred data such as quotations in the novel Pour Que Tu Ne Te Perdes Pas Dans Le Quartier by Patrick Modiano dominated by quotations containing empiricism external in 58 data while the remaining quotations containing empiricism internal in 42 data. Based on the above results it can be concluded that the novel Pour Que Tu Ne Te Pas Dans Le Quartier by Patrick Modiano contains the value of empiricism. Empiricism is illustrated by the main character, Jean Daragane who collects a series of experiences to recall some experiences that he did not remember in his past. Both externally and internally.
