Abstract

Feminisme adalah suatu paham tentang kaum perempuan yang memperjuangankan kesetaraan gender. Perempuan di era ini sudah mendapatkan kesetaraan tersebut, sehingga dapat mengembangkan potensi dirinya di dalam keluarganya maupun di masyarakat. Berbagai kegiatan perempuan yang mampu mengurus keluarga dan karirnya menjadi sumber harapan dan keinginan perupa di masa depan. Perupa mencoba memvisualisasikannya melalui sosok antropomorfis perempuan kucing sebagai metafora diri. Penggunaan metode narrative based practice membuat perupa memulai karya berdasarkan narasi yang bercerita. Karya yang diciptakan akan memiliki alur cerita seperti di dalam buku cerita yang disajikan berbeda melalui karya seni grafis cetak dalam. Karya seni grafis dapat ditampilkan berbeda sehingga perupa mengesampingkan prinsip-prinsip baku seperti konvensi yang ada pada seni grafis untuk menciptakan karya yang inovatif. Penyajian karya dalam bentuk instalasi digunakan untuk menghadirkan kedekatan dengan audiens. Agar setiap orang yang melihat karya iniakan ikut membayangkan harapan dan keinginannya di masa depan. Feminism is a perspective regarding women who fight for gender equality. Nowadays, women have received this equality, so they can develop their potential for family and society. The variety of women’s activities who are able to look after their family and escalate their career, become source of artist’s hope and expectation in the future. Artist tries to these hope and desire through utilizing the figure of the antropomorphic cat women as a self metaphor. Utilizing of narrative based methode has iqnite artist’s art pracatice and influence artist’s artistic approach into narrative based art practice. The artwork that made by the artist, has flow just like story in a book which differently presented. Intaglio practice has potential to be presented differently in the exhibition for this reason, the artist put aside formal principal such as printmaking convention, to produce intaglio practice that refers to contemporary art. Installation approach is utilized in the display process, to reduce the gap between the artwork and audience, thus this become artist’s suggestion to every woman to be brave to have to have hope and aspiration to develop herself in the future.
