Abstract

Kondisi pembelajaran pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni rupa menurut siswa menoton karena materi dan media pembelajaran kurang variatif sehingga pembelajaran terasa membosankan. Pendekatan ekstrakurikuler seni rupa belum efektif dan kurang menarik bagi siswa SMA. Hal ini mempengaruhi kreativitas dan keterampilan dalm berkarya maka hasil karya siswa kurang berkembang secara optimal, siswa cenderung pasif dan kurang tertarik dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni rupa di sekolah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta, yang beralamat di Jl. PLN CipinangMuara III, Jatinegara, Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini melibatkan 5 siswa SMAN 50 Jakarta yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni rupa. Mereka terdiri dari 3 siswa kelas XI IIS, dan 2 siswi kelas X IIS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis pendekatan deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan observasi, kuisioner,wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil karya siswa berupa cermin hias dan tirai hias dengan memanfaatkan limbah anorganik yaitu sendok plastik dan compact disk (CD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kreasi produk daur ulang melalui model Do It Yourself (DIY) berhasil memberi pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan dan kreativitas siswa yang terlihat dari hasil karya produk daur ulang. Selain itu siswa lebih termotivasi mengembangkan bakatnya karena aktivitas ekstrakurikuler seni rupa menyenangkan, kreatif dan memberikan kebebasan berekspresi. According to students, the learning condition in extracurricular activities is monotonous since the art materials and instructional media less varied so that the learning activities becoming tedious. The extracurricular art approach has not been effective and less attractive for high school students. This affects the creativity and skills of the students in creating art, thus the art works are not developed optimally and students tend to be passive and less interested in participating in the fine arts extracurricular activities at school. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 50 Jakarta, at Jl. PLN Cipinang Muara III, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The study involved five students of SMAN 50 Jakarta who participated in fine arts extracurricular activities. They consist of 3 students of class XI IIS, and second grader X IIS. This study uses qualitative descriptive type of approach. The data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The students’ art work are in the form of decorative mirrors and decorative curtain by utilizing inorganic waste i.e. plastic spoon and compact disk (CD). The results showed that the learning activities for recycled products creation through Do It Yourself (DIY) model was succeeded in giving a significant influence to improve students’ skills and creativity, which were seen from the work of recycled products. In addition, students are more motivated to develop his/her talent since the fine arts extracurricular activities becoming a fun activity, creative activity and give freedom of expression.
