Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan gegar budaya atau culture shock yang dialami oleh tokoh utama Dika dalam novel Kambing Jantan karya Raditya Dika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah metode kulitatif deskriptif. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu: Bagaimana Tahapan-tahapan Gegar Budaya dalam Novel Kambing Jantan karya Raditya Dika. Berdasarkan kajian dan pembahasan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan dalam novel ini ditemukan empat tahapan gegar budaya , yaitu honeymoon, crisis, pemulihan, dan penyesuaian/adaptasi. Keempat tahapan tersebut berjumlah 51 berupan kuitpan. Jadi, keberadaan gegar budaya dalam novel Kambing Jantan karya Raditya Dika terdiri atas tahapan-tahapan, yaitu honeymoon, crisis, pemulihan, dan penyesuaian/adaptasi. Tokoh utama dalam novel ini lebih sering mengalami cultural shock crisis. Dampak yang dialami Dika tidak seluruhnya menerima kebudayaan baru di lingkungan baru yang ditempatinya. This study aims to describe the stages of culture shock or the culture shock experienced by the main character in the novel the goat Dika works Raditya Dika. Research methods used by researchers is the method descriptive kulitatif. Formulation of the problem in this research are: how the stages of Culture Shock in the Novel the goat paper Raditya Dika. Based on the study and discussion of the results of the study can be summed up in the novel found four stages of culture shock, that honeymoon, crisis, recovery, and customization/adaptation. The four stages totalling 51 berupan kuitpan. So, the existence of cultural shock in the novel the goat paper Raditya Dika consists of stages, i.e., honeymoon, crisis, recovery, and customization/adaptation. The main character in this novel is more often experience a cultural shock crisis. Impact on endured Dika not entirely accept the new culture in the current new environment.
