Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya aspek psikologi kepribadian yang tercermin melalui tokoh utama novel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dinamika kepribadian yang ada pada tokoh Kiyoshi dan Tokiko dalam novel Tokyo Zodiac Murder karya Soji Shimada. Dalam melpenelitikan penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teori psikologi sastra. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu, bagaimana terjadinya aspek mekanisme pertahanan ego, dengan teori psikologi yang digunakan menitik beratkan pada aspek mekanisme pertahanan ego Freud, yang meliputi identifikasi, represi, reaksi kompromi, proyeksi, pembalikan, reaksi formasi, agresi. Berdasarkan kajian dan pembahasan hasil penelitian dapat diperoleh data: (1) Dari delapan aspek mekanisme pertahanan ego Freud, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya 3 aspek mekanisme pertahanan ego pada tokoh Kiyoshi yakni reaksi kompromi, reaksi formasi, agresi, (2) pada tokoh Tokiko terdapat 5 aspek mekanisme pertahanan ego yakni identifikasi, represi, reaksi kompromi, pembalikan, reaksi formasi, agresi, (3) reaksi yang dominan terjadi pada kedua tokoh adalah reaksi agresi dengan perbedaan penyaluran kecemasan Kiyoshi pada diri sendiri sedangkan Tokiko pada sumber kecemasan langsung. Dengan demikian,, terdapat dinamika kepribadian pada tokoh utama dalam novel Tokyo Zodiac Murder karya Soji Shimada. Implikasinya terhadap pembeljaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia, guru dapat menggunakan novel Tokyo Zodiac Murder dalam menulis teks cerita fiksi dalam novel. This research is motivated by the aspect of personality psychology that is reflected through the main character of the novel. This study aims to describe the personality dynamics that exist in Kiyoshi and Tokiko figures in the novel of Tokyo Zodiac Murder by Soji Shimada. In doing this research, the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with literary psychology theory. The formulation of the problem in this study, how to overcome the trauma, with the psychological theory used emphasizes aspects of Freud's ego resistant mechanism, which includes identification, repression, compromise reaction, projection, reversal, formation reaction, aggression. Based on the study and discussion of research results can be obtained data: (1) Of the eight aspects of Freud's ego resistance mechanism, the results of this study indicate the existence of three aspects of ego defense mechanisms on Kiyoshi figures compromise reactions, formation reactions, aggression, (2) Mutually reinforcing reactions, reactions, compromise reactions, reversals, formation reactions, aggression, (3) reactions occurring in both figures are aggression reactions with different distributions of Kiyoshi's self anxiety while Tokiko is at the source of immediate anxiety. Thus, there is a personality dynamics on novel Zodiac Murder by Soji Shimada. The implications for learning Indonesian language and literature, teachers can use the novel Tokyo Zodiac Murder in writing fictional texts in the novel.
