Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang penggunaan tindak tutur direktif dalam novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck karya Hamka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, dengan teknik analisis isi. Fokus penelitian ini pada penggunaan tindak tutur direktif berdasarkan enam kategori, meliputi permintaan, pertanyaan, perintah, larangan, pemberian izin, dan menasihatkan. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri yang dibantu dengan menggunakan tabel analisis. Pengambilan objek dilakukan dengan mereduksi data menggunakan teknik acak melalui cara dikocok atau diundi. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh informasi: 315 pasangan tuturan dari 10 bab yang diteliti, terdapat 207 data (65,7%) yang menggunakan tindak tutur direktif, sedangkan pasangan tuturan yang tidak menggunakan tindak tutur direktif terdapat 108 data (34,3%). Dari 207 pasangan tuturan ditemukan 245 data (69,40%) tindak tutur direktif yang terdeteksi. Jumlah keseluruhan tindak tutur direktif permintaan yang muncul berjumlah 80 data (22,7%), tindak tutur direktif pertanyaan berjumlah 99 data (28,04%), tindak tutur direktif perintah berjumlah 14 data (3,7%), tindak tutur direktif larangan berjumlah 16 data (4,53%), tindak tutur direktif pemberian izin berjumlah 20 data (5,66%), dan tindak tutur direktif menasihatkan berjumlah 16 data (4,53%). Ditemukan juga data yang menggunakan lebih dari satu tindak tutur direktif dalam pasangan tuturan yakni sebanyak 38 data. Dari hasil analisis tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tindak tutur direktif pertanyaan mendominasi keseluruhan data tindak tutur direktif yang ditemukan. Pada dasarnya tindak tutur direktif pertanyaan bermaksud supaya seseorang memberikan informasi tertentu. Dalam dialog novel terdapat beberapa tuturan yang memiliki maksud secara tersirat, yakni tuturan yang memiliki maksud berbeda dari apa yang disampaikan. Selain itu, tuturan yang dibuat pengarang novel sering kali menggunakan pernyataan tidak langsung, sehingga tuturan yang memiliki beragam maksud dapat disampaikan dengan kalimat tanya. Di dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA, kajian tindak tutur direktif dapat dijadikan sebuah pengembangan materi bagi guru agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa siswa, terutama dalam keterampilan menulis. This research is aimed to obtain information on the use directive speech act in novel of the Sinking of Van Der Wijck authored by Hamka. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, with the content analysis technique. The focus of this research is on the use of directive speech act, which classified into six categories, consisting of requests, questions, orders, prohibitions, permitting, and advising. The instrument of this research is the researcher herself who was assisted by using the analysis table. Object retrieval is carried out by reducing data using random techniques through shuffled or drawn ways. Based on the data analysis, there were information from 315 paired speech from 10 chapters being researched, there were 207 data (65.7%) using the directive speech act, while the paired speech which did not use the directive speech act were 108 data (34.3%). From 207 paired speech, 245 data (69.40%) of speech acts were detected. The total number of the requested directive speech act was 80 data (22.7%), the questioned directive speech act was 99 (28.04%), the ordered directive speech act was 14 data (3.7%), the prohibited directive speech act was 16 data (4.53%), the permitted directive speech act was 20 data (5,66%), and the advised directive speech act was 16 data (4.53%). It was also found data using more than one directive speech act in the paired speech, namely 38 data. From the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that the questioned directive speech act dominates the whole found data of the directive speech act. Basically, the questioned directive speech act is intended for someone to provide certain information. In the novel dialogue there are several utterances having an implicit meaning, i.e., a speech that has a different intention from what is conveyed. In addition, the novelist's utterances are often used indirect statements, so that speech with multiple purposes can be conveyed with the interrogative sentence. In the Indonesian language learned in the senior high school, the study of directive speech act can be used as a material development for teachers in order to improve students' language skills, especially in the writing skills.
