Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan adiksi game online remaja ditinjau dari pola asuh orangtua. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melibatkan 109 remaja yang bermain game online dan berdomisili di Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan dua instrumen penelitian, yaitu Internet Gaming Disorder Scale Lemmens (2015) dan skala pola asuh orangtua dari teori Baumrind (1991). Analisis statistik dilakukan dengan uji chi square dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 16.0 for Windows. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat perbedaan adiksi game online remaja yang signifikan berdasarkan pola asuh orangtua The research aimed to examine the comparison of adolescence’s online game addiction based on parenting styles. This research involved 109 adolescences that played online game and settled in Jakarta. The research was conducted by using quantitative method with two instruments, those were Lemmens’s Internet Gaming Disorder Scale (2015) and Parenting Style Scale from Baumrind theory (1991). Test hypotheses done by chi square with the assistance SPSS 16.0 version for Windows. Based on the analysis, the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted, then there is a significant comparison of online game addiction based on the parenting styles
