Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kekuatan pada desain arm excavator kelas 20 ton unreinforce, reinforce versi engineer PT.PQR, dan reinforce versi engineer PT.XYZ. Analisis kekuatan menggunakan metode elemen hingga dengan bantuan software Autodesk Inventor Professional 2015. Dimensi tinggi arm excavator kelas 20 ton 589 mm, panjang arm excavator kelas 20 ton 3742 mm, dan lebar arm excavator kelas 20 ton 325 mm. Simulasi dilakukan pada rancangan desain yang berbeda yaitu arm excavator kelas 20 ton unreinforce, reinforce versi engineer PT.PQR, dan reinforce versi engineer PT.XYZ. Ketiganya diberi beban yang sama yaitu 14.648 N di pin 1, 11.107 N di pin 2, 23.770 N di pin 3, dan 94.165 N di pin 4. Penentuan constraints pada arm excvator yaitu di bagian pin hydraulic arm dan center arm. Setelah proses analisis dilakukan, hasil menunjukan bahwa desain arm excavator kelas 20 ton reinforce versi PT.XYZ adalah yang paling kuat dan aman. Hal ini dilihat dari nilai tegangan maksimum yang terjadi sebesar 34,2145 MPa dan nilai safety factor sebesar 7,30685. The purpose of this study was to analyze the strength on the design of 20 ton class arm excavator unreinforce, reinforce version of engineer PT.PQR, and reinforce engineer PT.XYZ version. Analysis of the strength using the finite element method with the help of Autodesk Inventor Professional 2015. Height dimensional of 20 ton class arm excavator 589 mm, long dimensional of 20 ton class arm excavator 3742 mm, and the width dimensional of 20 ton class arm excavator 325 mm. Simulations carried out on the design of different design that 20 ton class arm excavator unreinforce, reinforce version of engineer PT.PQR, and reinforce engineer PT.XYZ version. All three were given the same loads is 14.648 N on pin 1, 11.107 N on pin 2, 23.770 N on pin 3, and 94.165 N on pin 4. Determining the constraints on the design of arm excavator are hydraulic arm pin and center arm. After the analysis is done, the result showed that the design of reinforce 20 ton class arm excavator of engineer PT.XYZ version is the most strong and safety. The maximum stress that occurs of 34,2145 MPa and the value of safety factor of 7,30685.
