Abstract
The objective of this research is to evaluate the program of Basic Safety Training in STIP Jakarta, which focused on 1). Development of Program consists of objective, content, learning process, instrument evaluation, lecturers’ requirements, syllabi, lesson plan, and lecturer’s activity; 2). Effectiveness of Program consists of output and outcomes. It was a qualitative research which uses naturalistic method and formative summative evaluation model that is developed by Scriven. The main subjects of this research were training organizer, lecturers, students and alumnus. The data were collected through interview instrument, observation, document study, and questionnaire. The data analysis used qualitative descriptive method. The research showed that the components of program development was 73% and good category, and the components of program effectiveness was 80% and got good category. The improvement of program quality in Basic Safety Training can be done by improving the aspects which got low evaluation category.
