Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan nilai-nilai kepahlawanan yang dimiliki oleh tokoh utama ditinjau dari ikon, symbol dan indeks yang akan dianalisis menggunakan teori Pierce. Metode penelitian adalah analisis isi. Hasil penelitian adalah 1) ada 6 nilai kepahlawanan yang ditemukan yaitu keberanian, kepercayaandiri, pantangmenyerah, relaberkorban, rasa persatuan dan kesatuan, dan toleransi. Jenis tanda yang terkandung dalam nilai-nilai kepahlawanan yang paling banyak digunakan adalah nilai kepahlawanan dari tinjauan ikon, kemudian diikuti oleh indeks dan tanda terakhir adalah simbol. Jumlah prosentase data atas penggunaan jenis tanda ini digambarkan bahwa tanda ikon mencapai 46%, symbol mencapai 26%, dan indeks mencapai 28%. Penggunaan nilai kepahlawanan dalam tanda ikon dimaksudkan bahwa penulis mewujudkan kehidupan tokoh utama dalam novel memiliki nilai perjuangan yang bersifat alami. Simbol nilai-nilai perjuangan dari seorang pahlawan juga melambangkan pemberontakan terhadap kekuasaan pemerintah. Simbol yang memunculkan kekuatan untuk menciptakan kondisi social masyrakat yang penuh dengan kedamaian tanpa adanya ketakutan terhadap acara tahunan tersebut. Indeks yang menggambarkan hubungan sebab akibat atau kausal terhadap setiap peristiwa yang terjadi This study aims to find the values of heroism owned by the main character in terms of icons, symbols and index that will be analyzed using Pierce Theory. The research method used in this study content analysis. Results of the study were found 6 values of heroismthere are: courage, confidence, never give up, willing to sacrifice, a sense of unity and integrity, and tolerance. Kinds of signs contained in heroism values of the most widely reviewed by the icon, followed by the index and the last sign is symbol. The percentage amount of data of this sign type illustrated that 46% mark icon, a symbol of reaching 26% and the index reached 28%. Heroism value used in the iconic sign meant that the writer embodies the life of the main character in the novel has the a natural struggle. The Symbol of values of the hero struggle also symbolizes rebellion against goverment authority.Symbol which raises the power to create the social conditions of society filled with peace without fear of the annual event. The index illustrates the r causal relationship to each incident happened.
