Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan Minat Menjadi Guru dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) Mahasiswa Program Studi S-1 Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) Antara yang berasal dari SMA dan SMK. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta (FT UNJ) dengan data diperoleh dari Tata Usaha (TU) Teknik Mesin untuk mengetahui nilai Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif Mahasiswa dan melalui kuisioner untuk variabel minat menjadi guru. Penelitian ini tergolong jenis penelitian kausal-komparatif dengan metode ex-post facto. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua variabel terikat yaitu minat menjadi guru dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif serta dua variabel bebas yaitu mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMA dan SMK. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah secara Simple Random Sampling. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Jakarta angkatan 2010 – 2013, dengan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 60 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari masing-masing 30 orang mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMA dan SMK. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata minat menjadi guru mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMA adalah sebesar 94,9 yang masuk dalam kategori sedang dan mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMK memiliki nilai rata-rata 90,167 yang masuk ke dalam kategori rendah. Sedangkan untuk nilai Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) mahasiswa yang berasal dar SMA adalah sebesar 2,905 yang masuk dalam kategori baik dan mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMK memiliki nilai rata-rata 2,58 yang masuk dalam kategori baik. Pada Pengujian Hipotesis, terima H0 jika –t1 - 1/2α < t < t1 – 1/2α, di mana t1 – 1/2α didapat dari daftar distribusi t dengan dk = (n1 + n2 – 2) dan peluang (1 – 1/2α). Untuk harga-harga t lainnya H0 ditolak. Jika diketahui nilai dari 1/2α adalah 0,01, maka harga t0,99 dengan dk=58 dari daftar G adalah 2,393. Hasil Thitung untuk variabel perbandingan minat menjadi guru mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMA dan SMK sebesar 0,976852844, dan hasil Thitung untuk variabel perbandingan nilai Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) menjadi guru mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMA dan SMK sebesar 0,852193429 karena nilai tersebut terletak diantara -2,93 dan 2,93 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada minat menjadi guru dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Jakarta Antara yang berasal dari SMA dan SMK. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant difference interests to be a teacher and a grade point average (GPA) student bachelor of education Mechanical Engineering Study Program, State University of Jakarta (UNJ) between derived from Senior High School and Vocational High School. This research was conducted at the Education Studies Program Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta (FT UNJ) with the data obtained from the Public Administration (TU) Mechanical Engineering to determine the value of GPA student and via a questionnaire to variable interest to be a teacher. This study classified types of causal-comparative research with ex-post facto method. In this research, there are two dependent variables are the interest to be a teacher and grade point average as well as two independent variables is students who come from senior high school and vocational high school. The sampling technique in this research is by simple random sampling. The population in this study was all students of Education Mechanical Engineering Study Program, State University of Jakarta class of 2010 until 2013, with the sample used consisted of 60 students from each of the 30 students are coming from senior high school and vocational high school. Based on the result of research, it’s known that the average value of interest to be a teacher student from senior high school amounted to 94,9 are in the middle category and student from vocational high school has an average value is 90,167 and include in the low category. While the value of GPA students from senior high school amounted to 2,905 are in the good category and students from SMK has an average value is 2,58 are in the good category. In Hypothesis Testing, accept H0 if –t1 - 1 / 2α < t < t1 - 1 / 2α, where t1 - 1 / 2α derived from the distribution list t with df = (n1 + n2 - 2) and opportunities (1-1 / 2α). For prices of other t, H0 rejected. Given the value of 1 / 2α is 0.01, then the price t0,99 with df = 58 on the list of G is 2.393. The results of Ttest for comparison variable interest to be a teacher of students coming from senior high school and vocational high school for 0,976852844, and a comparison of results for the variable value Ttest GPA as a teacher of students coming from senior high school and vocational high school for 0,852193429 because the value lies between -2.93 and 2.93 so that it can be concluded that the H0 is received. It can be concluded that there are no significant differences in interest in becoming a teacher and grade point average (GPA) students bachelor of Education Mechanical Engineering Study Program, State University of Jakarta, between Senior High School and Vocational High School.
