Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kesesuaian bahan ajar berbicara bahasa Inggris dalam buku paket kelas 12 SMA/MA/SMK/MAK yang digunakan di SMK N 30 Jakarta dengan Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional Indonesia (SKKNI) untuk perhotelan dan restoran. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah sekumpulan bahan ajar berbicara bahasa Inggris yang dimuat dalam buku pelajaran yang berjudul “Bahasa Inggris” edisi revisi kurikulum 2013 untuk kelas XII SMA/MA/SMK/MAK. Buku ini disusun oleh Utami Widiati, Zuliati Rohmah, dan Furaidah; dan telah diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia tahun 2018. Peneliti menganalisa topik, tugas, instruksi, ilustrasi, dan kosa kata dalam bahan ajar berbicara tersebut guna menyaring bahan ajar untuk kemudian diukur kesesuaian isinya dengan keterampilan berbicara dalam SKKNI untuk akomodasi perhotelan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 23 bahan ajar berbicara, terdapat 5 bahan ajar berbicara yang tidak sesuai dengan SKKNI untuk Hotel dan Restoran dengan persentase 78,26%. Akhirnya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar berbicara yang digunakan untuk mengajar siswa program studi akomodasi perhotelan di SMKN 30 Jakarta ditemukan sesuai dengan SKKNI nomor 145 tahun 2018 The purpose of this study is to evaluate the consistency of the English speaking materials contained in an English textbook for XII graders of SMA/MA/SMK/MAK at SMKN 30 Jakarta with the National Competency Standards of hotel and restaurant work field. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The data of this study are the speaking materials contains in an English textbook entitled “Bahasa Inggris in a revised edition of the curriculum 2013 for XII graders of SMA/MA/SMK/MAK”, which was written by Utami Widiati, Zuliati Rohmah, and Furaidah; and was published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2018. The researcher analyzed the topic, task, instruction, illustration, and vocabulary of the speaking materials to filter speaking materials in the textbook to consider the compliance with the communicative competency in the National Competency Standards of the hotel accommodation study program. The result of the study shows that from 23 speaking materials, 5 speaking materials are found not compliant with the communicative competencies in the National Competency Standards for Hotels and Restaurants with a percentage of 78,26%. It can be concluded that the speaking materials used to teach the students of the Hotel Accommodation study program in SMKN 30 Jakarta are found compliant with the National Competency Standards of Hotels and Restaurants.
