Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data yang tepat dan dapat dipercaya tentang hubungan antara konsep diri dengan motivasi berprestasi siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga bulan, terhitung sejak bulan Oktober sampai bulan Desember 2010. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IPS SMA Negeri 30 Jakarta Pusat. Sampelnya adalah siswa kelas XI IPS yaitu 123 responden. Tehnik pengambilan sampel yaitu tehnik acak proposional. Untuk menjaring data variabel X (konsep diri) dan variabel Y (motivasi berprestasi), digunakan instrumen kuesioner sebelum instrumen digunakan, dilakukan uji validitas konstruk yang dilanjutkan dengan proses validasi yaitu perhitungan koefisien korelasi skor butir dan skor total serta uji reabilitas dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Hasil reliabilitas variabel X (Konsep Diri) sebesar 0,919 dan variabel Y (Motivasi Berprestasi) sebesar 0,890. Persamaan model regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan bentuk persamaan regresi Ŷ = 20,89 + 0,790X. Selanjutnya uji persyaratan analisis yaitu menguji normalitas galat taksiran regresi Y atas X dengan uji liliefors, diperoleh kesimpulan galat taksiran berdistribusi normal. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perhitungan yang menunjukkan bahwa Lo (0,074) < Ltabel = 0,80. Pengujian hipotesis dengan uji keberartian regresi memperoleh Fhitung = 91,86 > Ftabel = 3,91 yang menyatakan bahwa regresi berarti, serta uji linearitas regresi yang menghasilkan Fhitung = 0,67 < Ftabel = 1,56 sehingga menunjukkan model regresi yang digunakan linier. Uji koefisien korelasi dengan rumus product moment menghasilkan rxy=0,657, kemudian uji signifikan koefisien korelasi dengan menggunakan uji t memperoleh thitung = 9,58 dan ttabel= 1,67 karena thitung > ttabel dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara konsep diri dengan motivasi berprestasi siswa IPS pada SMA Negeri 30 Jakarta Pusat. Uji koefisien determinasi menghasilkan rxy = 0,657, ini menunjukkan bahwa 43,15% variasi variabel Y (motivasi berprestasi) ditentukan oleh variabel X (konsep diri). Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan dan positif antara konsep diri dengan motivasi berprestasi siswa IPS pada SMA Negeri 30 Jakarta Pusat. The aim of this research is to obtain empirical data valid and reliable fact concerning wheter or not there is correlation. Self concept with achievement motive student. This research was conducted for three month, starting from October to Desember 2010. Research method used by method survey with correlational. The population of this study are all students of class IPS SMA Negeri 30. Samples used are students class XI IPS as many as 123 students using proportional random sampling method. To encompass both the data variables of the study, the instruments used for the the variable X (self concept) adn variable Y (achievement motivation). Prior to use, test validity of the construt (constructs validity) through the validation process is the calculation of the correlation coefficient with total score item scores and the test reliability with cronbach alpha formula. Instrument reliability results of variable X (self concept) equal 0,919 and variable Y (achievement motivation) aqual 0,890. Test requirements analysis is to find the regression equation obtained was Ŷ= 20,89 + 0,790X. Result liliefors normality test= 0,074 while yield Lhitung. Ltabel for n=123, at level significance(α= 0,05) was 0,080. Because Lhitung< Ltabel the variabel X and Y have normal distrubusion. Hypothesis testing with regression significance tes produces Fhitung (91,86) > Ftabel = 3,91 which means the regression equation significantly. Lineatity tes Fhitung of regression produces 0,67 < Ftabel (1,56) thus concluded that the linear regression equation. Test of product moment correlation coefficient rxy=0,657 produces thitung furthermore, correlations coefficient significance test was using t-test, resulting thitung 9,58 > ttabel 1,67. The result concluded that there is a positive correlation between self concept with achievement motivation students. With a decisive test of the coefficient if determination or 43,15% variable result obtained by the achievement motivation (Y) is determined by self concept (Variabel X). Resume this research is significant and have correlation positive between Between self concept with achievement motivation student IPS at SMA Negeri 30 Center Jakarta.
