Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between psychological well-being with problematic internet use in adolescents and whether excessive internet use behavior is influenced by psychological well-being. This research uses quantitative research methods with non-probability accidental sampling data collection techniques. The study was conducted on 99 adolescents aged 15-19 years with internet usage characteristics of more than 5 hours per day. Data collection tools use a Likert scale namely Generalized Problematic Internet Use 2 and Scale of Psychological Well-Being with six alternative answers "strongly agree", "agree", "somewhat agree," somewhat disagree "," disagree ", and" very disagree". Based on the results of Pearson Product Moment obtained correlation coefficient of 0.477 and p = 0.000 (p> 0.05), there is a relationship between psychological well-being and problematic internet use in adolescents, although the relationship that occurs is a positive relationship which means the higher psychological well-being of an individual, the internet usage is also will increase.
