Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan antara lokus kontrol internal dengan kepuasan kerja pada karyawan Matahari Department Store Cabang Mal Ciputra di Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga bulan, terhitung mulai dari bulan Mei sampai dengan Juli 2010. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi dari penelitian adalah karyawan Matahari Department Store Cabang Mal Ciputra. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik acak sederhana (simple random sampling) dengan sampel sebanyak 72 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data variabel X (Lokus Kontrol Internal) dan variabel Y (Kepuasan Kerja) dalam penelitian ini diukur dengan menggunakan Skala Likert. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dimulai dengan mencari persamaan regresi sederhana dan diperoleh persamaan regresi Ŷ= 55,83 + 0,454X, sedangkan uji persyaratan analisis yaitu uji normalitas galat taksiran regresi Y atas X dengan uji Liliefors diperoleh Lhitung (0,059) < Ltabel (0,104), hal ini berarti sampel berasal dari populasi berdistribusi normal. Uji keberartian dan kelinieran regresi dengan menggunakan tabel Analisis Varians (ANAVA) diperoleh persamaan regresi Fhitung (4,05) > Ftabel (3,98) yang menyatakan regresi berarti serta uji linieritas regresi menghasilkan Fhitung (1,30) < Ftabel (1,83) yang menunjukkan bahwa model regresi yang digunakan adalah linier. Uji hipotesis koefisien korelasi hubungan antara variabel X dan variabel Y dilakukan dengan rumus Product Moment dari Pearson yang menghasilkan rxy sebesar 0,234 yang berarti hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut kuat. Uji signifikansi dengan thitung sebesar 2,10 dan ttabel sebesar 1,67. Karena thitung > ttabel, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lokus kontrol internal dengan kepuasan kerja pada karyawan Matahari Department Store Cabang Mal Ciputra. Uji koefisien determinasi menghasilkan KD sebesar 5,90 %. Maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara lokus kontrol internal dengan kepuasan kerja. This study aims to determine the relationship between internal locus of control with job satisfaction on employee of Matahari Department Store Ciputra Mall. This research was conducted for three months starting from May until July 2010. The method used is survey method with correlational approach. The population is employee of Matahari Department Store Ciputra Mall. The sampling technique is simple random sampling with 72 respondents. The instrument used to obtain data on variable X (Internal Locus of Control) and variable Y (Job Satisfaction) was measured using a Likert Scale. The data analysis technique starts by looking for a simple regression equation and the regression equation Ŷ= 55,83+0,454X, while the test requirements of the analysis are the estimated regression error normality test Y on X with L obtained Liliefors test Lcount(0,059) < Ltable (0,104), this means that samples come from normally distributed population. Test of significance and linier regression by using the table Analysis of Variance (ANAVA) test was obtained regression equation (4,05) > Ftable (3,98) which states that the regression is very significant and regressions that produce linierity test Fcount (1,30) < F table (1,83) which indicates that the model uses linier regression. Correlation coefficient hypothesis tests conducted using the formula rxy Product Moment by Pearson yield of 0,234; this means the relationship between two variables is strong. Tests of significance with tcount equal to 2,10 and ttable value of 1,67. Because tcount > ttable from the above study, the researcher can conclude that there is a significant relationship between the internal locus of control with job satisfaction on employee of Matahari Department Store Ciputra Mall. Test determination coefficient KD of 5,90% yield. So it is concluded that there are positive relationship between the internal locus of control with job satisfaction.
