Abstract
Dalam melakukan proses public relations, Humas Diskominfo Kota Tangerang Selatan berupaya untuk membangun citra positif melalui media sosial Instagram sebagai salah satu media publikasi instansinya dalam membagikan informasi kepada publik masyarakatnya tersampaikan dengan baik dan tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses peran public relations pada Diskominfo Kota Tangerang Selatan dalam membangun citra positif melalui media sosial Instagram @humaskotatangsel. Penulis menggunakan teori proses public relations yang dikemukakan oleh Cutlip dan Center yaitu, defining the problem (Fact Finding), Planning and Programming, Taking Action and Communicating, dan Evaluating the Program dalam Diskominfo Kota Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Narasumber dalam penelitian terdapat satu Key Informan dan dua Informan dari bagian internal maupun eksternal. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan teknik keabsahan data triangulasi sumber dengan Teknik pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Dan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses humas Diskominfo Kota Tangsel dalam membangun citra positif melalui media sosial Instagram @humaskotatangsel telah efektif dan sesuai dengan teori yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian. Humas dalam sebuah instansi itu sangat penting terutama dalam pengelolaan media sosial. Proses public relations sebelum diunggah kedalam media sosial juga membutuhkan koordinasi tim yang baik. Dalam proses public relations juga pasti terdapat hambatan yang biasanya berasal dari perbedaan persepsi diantara publik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan adalah peran humas diskominfo kota tangsel telah berhasil membangun citra positif melalui media sosial Instagram pribadinya dan berhasil dalam mengatasi hambatan yang ada. In carrying out the public relations process, Public Relations Diskominfo South Tangerang City seeks to build a positive image through social media Instagram as one of the agency's publication media in distributing information to the public that the community is conveyed properly and accurately. This study aims to determine how the process of the role of public relations at Diskominfo in South Tangerang City in building a positive image through social media Instagram @humaskotatangsel The author uses the public relations process theory proposed by Cutlip and Center, namely, defining the problem (Fact-Finding), Planning and Programming, Taking Action and Communicating, and Evaluating the Program and network theory in new media to analyze the production, communication, and information in the Diskominfo of South Tangerang City This study uses a descriptive approach with qualitative research methods. The resource persons in this research are one Key Informant and two Informants from internal and external departments. This study also uses the technique of data validity triangulation sources with interview data collection techniques, literature study, and documentation. And data analysis techniques using data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study indicate that the public relations process of the Tangsel City Diskominfo in building a positive image through social media Instagram @humaskotatangsel has been effective and in accordance with the theory that the author uses in the study. Public relations in an agency is very important, especially in the management of social media. The public relations process before being uploaded to social media also requires good team coordination. In the process of public relations, there must also be obstacles which usually come from differences in perceptions among the public. The research that has been done concludes that the role of public relations at the Diskominfo of Tangsel City has succeeded in building a positive image through his personal Instagram social media and succeeded in overcoming the existing obstacles.
