Abstract

Penelitian Pengaruh Proses Quenching Terhadap Kekerasan Baja Carbon Rendah Astm A36 Hasil Proses Hardfacing Menggunakan Proses Pengelasan SMAW Elektroda Jiz Z3251 DF2A-450HV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh proses Hardfacing baja Carbon rendah Astm a36 menggunakan proses pengelasan SMAW elektroda Jis Z 3251 DF2A-450HV terhadap tingkat kekerasan dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari Coolant dan air dingin 15°C sebagai media Quenching terhadap kekerasan baja Carbon rendah. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, diketahui terdapat pengaruh dari Coolant dan air dingin 15°C sebagai media Quenching terhadap kekerasan baja Carbon rendah. Pada baja Carbon rendah Non Treatment memiliki tingkat kekerasan rata-rata 120.98 HVN kemudian setelah diberikan Coolant maka kekerasan meningkat menjadi 350,0. Demikian pada baja carbon rendah Non treatment dengan tingkat kekerasan rata-rata 120.98 HVN kemudian dilakukan treatment dan Quenching pada Air dingin 15°C,maka meningkat menjadi 360,0 HVN. Pada Coolant terhadap baja Non Treatment memiliki selisih peningkatan kekerasan sebesar 229,02 HVN sedangkan pada Air dingin 15°C memiliki selisih selisih peningkatan kekerasan sebesar 239,02 terhadap baja Non Treatment. Pada hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menyarankan bahwa diperlukan ketelitian yang lebih saat melakukan penelitian dan diutamakan keamanan dan keselamatan kerja pada saat melakukan pengujian. Research on the Effect of Quenching Process on Hardness of Low Carbon Steel Astm A36 Result of Hardfacing Process Using SMAW Welding Process Jiz Z3251 DF2A-450HV Electrodes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Astm a36 low carbon steel hardfacing process using the SMAW electrode welding process Jis Z 3251 DF2A-450HV on the hardness level and to determine the effect of Coolant and 15°C cold water as quenching media on the hardness of low carbon steel. From the results of research conducted, it is known that there is an effect of Coolant and 15°C cold water as Quenching media on the hardness of low Carbon steel. In non-treated low carbon steel has an average hardness level of 120.98 HVN then after being given Coolant the hardness increases to 350.0. Similarly, non-treated low carbon steel with an average hardness level of 120.98 HVN is then treated and quenched in 15°C cold water, then it increases to 360.0 HVN. Coolant to Non Treatment steel has a difference in hardness increase of 229.02 HVN while at 15°C cold water has a difference of 239.02 increase in hardness to Non Treatment steel. In the results of the research that has been carried out, the researchers suggest that more thoroughness is needed when conducting research and prioritizing work safety and security when conducting testing.
