Abstract
Kedelai adalah sumber pangan fungsional di Indonesia. Tanaman ini kaya akan protein nabati yang setara dengan protein hewani. Kedelai memiliki senyawa bioaktif seperti flavonoid, terpenoid, steroid, dan tanin. Senyawa yang terkandung pada kedelai tersebut dapat mempengaruhi fertilitas mencit jantan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak kedelai varietas Gamasugen 1 dan 2 terhadap morfometri testis dan hormon testosteron mencit jantan (Mus musculus). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari-Mei 2021 di Animal House dan Laboratorium Struktur Perkembangan Hewan, Fakultas MIPA, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan desain rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Mencit dibagi menjadi enam kelompok dengan masing-masing lima ulangan, terdiri dari satu kelompok kontrol dan lima kelompok perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan ekstrak kedelai Gamasugen 1 dan 2 berpengaruh signifikan (p<0.05) terhadap morfometri testis dan kadar hormon testosteron. Sementara itu, kelompok perlakuan yang diberi pakan ekstrak kedelai impor menunjukkan pengaruh tidak signifikan (p>0.05) terhadap morfometri testis dan hormon testosteron. * Soybean is a functional food source in Indonesia. This plant is rich in vegetable protein which is equivalent to animal protein. Soybeans have bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, terpenoids, steroids, and tannins. The compounds contained in soybeans can affect the fertility of male mice. This study aims to determine the effect of soybean extract Gamasugen varieties 1 and 2 on testicular morphometry and testosterone hormone in male mice (Mus musculus). The research was carried out in February-May 2021 at the Animal House and Animal Development Structure Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Jakarta. The method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD). Mice were divided into six group with five replications each, consisting of one control group and five treatment groups. The results showed that feeding Gamasugen 1 and 2 soybean extract had a significant effect (p<0.05) on testicular morphometry and testosterone levels. Meanwhile, the treatment group fed imported soybean extract showed no significant effect (p>0.05) on testicular morphometry and testosterone.
