Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the learning method (Role Playing and Teaching Varied) and cognitive style (Independent and Field Dependent Field) on the social attitudes of students. The study was conducted through an experimental method which involves 22 students of class V SDN 219 Ara as an experimental class and fifth grade students of SDN 22 161 figs as the control class. The application of cognitive styles is done through good test drawings naught harris test and social attitudes were measured through assessment scale. The results showed: (1) Social attitudes of students were given the learning method of role playing is higher than the group of students who were given teaching methods lectures vary, (2) Social attitudes of students who have the cognitive style field of independent higher than students who have the cognitive style field dependent , (3) there is an interaction effect between teaching methods and cognitive style on students' social attitude, (4) social attitudes of students who have the cognitive style field independently treated the learning method of role playing is higher than the social attitudes of students treated teaching methods lectures varied , (5) social attitudes of students who have a dependent cognitive style field treated role playing learning method is lower than the social attitudes of students treated lecture teaching methods vary. (6) Social attitudes of students treated the learning method of role playing in the group of students who have the cognitive style field of independent higher than the social attitudes of students who have cognitive style field dependent, 7) Social attitudes of students treated teaching methods lectures varied group students who have a style of independent field kogntif lower than the social attitudes of students who have the cognitive style of field dependent Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran (Role Playing dan Ceramah Bervariasi) dan gaya kognitif (Field Independent dan Field Dependent) terhadap sikap sosial siswa. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode eksperimen yang melibatkan 22 siswa kelas V SDN 219 Ara sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 22 siswa kelas V SDN 161 Ara sebagai kelas kontrol. Penerapan gaya kognitif dilakukan melalui tes good nought harris drawing test dan sikap sosial diukur melalui skala penilaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Sikap sosial siswa yang diberi metode pembelajaran role playing lebih tinggi dari kelompok siswa yang diberi metode pembelajaran ceramah bervariasi, (2) Sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent lebih tinggi dari siswa yang miliki gaya kognitif field dependent, (3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif terhadap sikap sosial siswa, (4) Sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independen yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran role playing lebih tinggi dari sikap sosial siswa yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran ceramah bervariasi, (5) Sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran role playing lebih rendah dari sikap sosial siswa yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran ceramah bervariasi. (6) Sikap sosial siswa yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran role playing pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent, 7) Sikap sosial siswa yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran ceramah bervariasi pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki gaya kogntif field independent lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan sikap sosial siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent.
