Abstract
The purposes of this research are to produce a medium video tutorial is to facial skin care instructional. The medium video tutorial produced should be able to improve training participant’s skills. To meet the purposes, the research adopted the design and development model introduced by Lee and Owens (2004) consisting of five stages: (1) need analysis, (2) front-end analysis, (3) design, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. This research was conducted as from November 2016 through July 2017. Data collection techniques employed observation, questionnaire, interview, and tests. The need analysis was conducted by analyzing the competence in curriculum and participant’s learning problem. Besides, the expert validation to assess the media video tutorial was done with the assistance the content expert, media expert, and instructional design expert. As the result, the research produced (1) medium facial skin care video tutorial , (2) a product of medium facial skin care video tutorial which has been tested for its effectiveness, efficiency, uses, and appealing in improving the training participant’s massage skill.
