Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat CD bekas sebagai bahan baku pembuatan asesoris. Adapun penelitian ini di jurusan Ikk Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta pada bulan maret 2015 sampai juni 2016. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Peneliti membuat lima produk kalung menggunakan bahan baku CD bekas dengan sumber inspirasi sriwijaya. Prosedur pengumpulan data melalui tahap wawancara pada lima panelis ahli dalam bidang asesoris. Tahapan penelitian berupa pengumpulan CD bekas, pemilihan desain kalung, proses pengolahan CD menjadi kalung dengan menggunakan teknik pembakaran dan penilaian kelayakan produk oleh lima orang panelis meliputi kelayakan menurut teori produk (mutu produk, nilai guna, kenyamanan, ketahanan, gaya/style, pemeliharaan, harga/nilai jual), unsur-unsur desain (bentuk, ukuran, warna) dan prinsip desain (harmoni, irama, pusat perhatian, proporsi dan keseimbangan). Hasil penilaian kelima panelis berupa deskripsi data menunjukkan bahwa produk kalung dari CD bekas ini memiliki nilai fungsi sebagai pelengkap busana dari segi teori produk dan teori desain. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berguna untuk memberi informasi dan motivasi terutama dalam meningkatkan kualitas dari segi kreativias pengusaha mode dalam memanfaatkan barang-barang yang tidak terpakai lagi menjadi suatu produk fashion yang baik. The study aims to determine the benefits of used CD's as a raw material for making accessories. As this study in the Department of IKK Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta in March 2015 through June 2016. The study used descriptive qualitative approach. Researchers made five necklace products using raw materials used CD's with Srivijaya source of inspiration. Data collection procedures through the interview stage in the five panelists are experts in the field of accessories. Stages of the research is a collection of used CD's, design selection of necklaces, processing CD into necklaces using combustion techniques and feasibility assessment of products by five panelists include eligibility according to the theory of the product (product quality, use value, comfort, durability, fashion / style, maintenance, price / sales value), the elements of design (shape, size, color) and design principles (harmony, rhythm, focus, proportion and balance). The results of the five panelists assessment form description of the data showed that the product necklace from the former CD has value as a function of a complementary fashion in terms of the theory of product and design theory. This research is expected to be useful to provide information and motivation, especially in improving the quality of creativity in terms of fashion entrepreneurs in use the items no longer used to be a good fashion product
