Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran dan kecerdasan sosial terhadap hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 18 Banda Aceh pada tahun 2015 dengan 32 sampel diambil dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Pengambilan data diperoleh melalui tes analisis Varian (ANAVA) dua jalur dengan desain treatmeant by level 2 x 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Hasil belajar ilmu pengetahuan sosial siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran problem based learning lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran problem solving, (2) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dengan kecerdasan sosial siswa terhadap hasil belajar ilmu pengetahuan sosial, (3) Hasil belajar ilmu pengetahuan sosial siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan sosial tinggi yang belajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran problem based learning lebih tinggi dari pada menggunakan metode problem solving, (4) Hasil belajar ilmu pengetahuan sosial siswa dengan kecerdasan sosial rendah yang belajar dengan metode pembelajaran problem based learning tidak lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran proble solving. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran problem based learning dengan kecerdasan sosial tinggi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial.The purpose of this study is to learn the influence of learning methods and social intelligence on students’ leaning results in social study class. This study was conducted on 5th grade students of SDN 18 Banda Aceh in 2015 by taking 32 samples using cluster random sampling method. Data is acquired using two-way varian analysis test (ANAVA) utilizing treatment by level 2x2 design. The result study showed that: (1) Students’ learning outcome using problem based learning method is higher than that of using problem solving learning method, (2) There is an interaction correlation between students’ learning methods ad their social intelligence, proven by their learning outcome, (3) The outcome of learning of students with higher social intelligence using problem learning method is higher than using problem solving learning method, (4) The outcome of social study learning of students with lower social intelligence utilizing problem learning method was not as low compared to that of using problem solving learning method. The results of this study illustrates that using problem based learning method on students with high social intelligence can increase the outcome of social study.
