Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI), selama empat bulan terhitung sejak Maret 2013 sampai dengan Juni 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepribadian tipe A dengan kepuasan kerja pada karyawan PT. RCTI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan bagian produksi PT. RCTI yang berkepribadian tipe A. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik acak sederhana sebanyak 44 orang. Persamaan regresi yang dihasilkan adalah Ŷ = 69,52 + 0,330 X. Uji persyaratan analisis yaitu uji normalitas galat taksiran regresi Y atas X dengan uji liliefors menghasilkan Lhitung = 0,071, sedangkan Ltabel untuk n = 44 pada taraf signifikan 0,05 adalah 0,133. Karena Lhitung < Ltabel maka galat taksiran Y atas X berdistribusi normal. Uji linearitas regresi menghasilkan Fhitung < Ftabel yaitu - 0,64 < 2,15, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa persamaan regresi tersebut linier. Dari uji keberartian regresi menghasilkan Fhitung > Ftabel , yaitu 10,99 > 4,07, artinya persamaan regresi tersebut signifikan. Koefisien korelasi Product Moment dari Pearson menghasilkan rxy = 0,455, selanjutnya dilakukan uji keberartian koefisien korelasi dengan menggunakan uji t dan dihasilkan thitung = 3,32 dan ttabel = 1,68. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa koefisien korelasi rxy= 0,455 adalah signifikan. Koefisien determinasi yang diperoleh sebesar 20,75% yang menunjukkan bahwa 20,75% kepuasan kerja ditentukan oleh kepribadian tipe A. ***** This study aims to determine the relationship between type A personality and job satisfaction in employees of PT. RCTI. The research was conducted at PT. Rajawali Televisi Citra Indonesia (RCTI), for four months from March 2013 to June 2013. The research method used was a survey method with the correlational approach. Population in this research is the production employees of PT. RCTI which personality type A. The sampling technique used was simple random technique as many as 44 people. The resulting regression equation is Y = 69.52 + 0.330 X. Test requirements analysis is the normality test on the estimated error of regression Y on X with Liliefors test result Lhitung = 0.071, while Ltabel for n = 44 at significance level of 0.05 is 0.133. Because Lhitung <Ltabel the error estimates Y on X is normally distributed. Linearity regression test produces Fhitung <Ftabel ie -0.64 <2.15, thus concluded that the linear regression equation. Test the significance of regression produces Fhitung> F, ie 10.99> 4.07, meaning that the regression equation significantly. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy = 0.455, later tested the significance of the correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting t = 3.32 and t table = 1,68. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.455 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtained for 20.75% 20.75% which indicates that job satisfaction is determined by personality type A.
