Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan gaya hidup yang muncul dari Blackberry bold 9900 dan 9790 di dua belas iklan cetak Koran kompas. Metode yang digunakan adalah analitis deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggambarkan, menganalisa, dan kemudian menginterpretasikan data untuk menemukan makna konotasi berdasarkan teori penghubung – teori semiotika Roland Barthes. Pada analisis ini, gaya hidup pemakai Blackberry ini yang muncul adalah praktis, instan, dan kuat. Selain itu, mereka juga harus memerhatikan penampilan mereka untuk menjafi elegan, prestis, dan ekslusif bahkan kalaupun mereka harus mencicilnya. This study aims to discover the lifestyles of Blackberry are shown in twelve Blackberry Bold 9900 and 9790 in Kompas newspaper printed advertisements. This method is descriptive analytical. It describes, analyzes, and then interprets data to find the connotation meaning based on the related theories – Roland Barthes semiotics theory. In this analysis, the writer found that the lifestyles shown for the users are practical, instant, and powerful. Besides that, they also have to concern with their appearance; elegant, prestigious, and exclusive even they have to do installments.
