Abstract

Pengaruh Penambahan Octane Booster Y Pada Bahan Bakar Pertalite Terhadap Unjuk Kerja Sepeda Motor 4 Langkah. Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Bahan bakar berperan penting pada proses pembakaran karena dapat mempengaruhi performa mesin dan efisiensi pembakaran. Adapun beberapa cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas bahan bakar dan meningkatkan nilai oktan bahan bakar. Salah satu solusi alternatif yaitu dengan menggunakan octane booster sebagai peningkat nilai oktan dan meningkatkan kualitas bahan bakar. Tapi apakah octane booster eco racing bisa meningkatkan unjuk kerja sepeda motor dan meningkatkan nilai oktan pada bahan bakar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisa pengaruh penggunaan octane booster eco racing pada bahan bakar pertalite terhadap unjuk kerja sepeda motor 4 langkah. Beberapa aspek penelitian yaitu persentase transmittance, torsi, nilai oktan, daya, viskositas dan massa jenis, serta perbandingan terhadap efek dari penyimpanan bahan bakar dengan waktu penyimpanan 0Minggu, 2Minggu, dan 4Minggu. Untuk hasil pengujian yang didapatkan setelah menggunakan octane booster, yaitu presentase transmittance mengalami penurunan, nilai oktan mengalami peningkatan, massa jenis mengalami penurunan, viskositas mengalami penurunan, torsi mengalami peningkatan, dan daya mengalami peningkatan. Untuk pengujian bahan bakar yang dilakukan penyimpanan 2 Minggu dan 4 Minggu didapatkan hasil, yaitu presentase transmittance mengalami peningkatan, nilai oktan mengalami penurunan, massa jenis mengalami peningkatan, viskositas mengalami peningkatan, torsi mengalami penurunan, dan daya mengalami penurunan. Fuel plays an important role in the combustion process because it can affect engine performance and combustion efficiency. There are several ways to improve fuel quality and increase the octane rating of the fuel. One alternative solution is to use an octane booster as an octane booster and improve fuel quality. But whether the octane booster eco racing can improve motorcycle performance and increase the octane value of the fuel. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of using octane booster eco racing on pertalite fuel on the performance of a 4 stroke motorcycle. Some aspects of the research are the percentage of transmittance, torque, octane value, power, viscosity and density, as well as the comparison of the effects of fuel storage with storage times of 0 weeks, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks. For the test results obtained after using an octane booster, the percentage of transmittance has decreased, the octane value has increased, the density has decreased, the viscosity has decreased, the torque has increased, and the power has increased. For fuel testing that was carried out for 2 weeks and 4 weeks of storage, the results showed that the percentage of transmittance increased, octane value decreased, density increased, viscosity increased, torque decreased, and power decreased.
