Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan metode ekspositori dan pemberian kuis pada mata pelajaran pengukuran listrik. Penelitian yang dilakukan di SMK Jakarta 1 pada bulan September sampai bulan Oktober 2012 ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus, dimana masing-masing siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan atau observasi dan refleksi. Data tiap siklus diperoleh melalui lembar observasi, lembar catatan observasi, lembar angket, hasil kuis dan hasil post test. Data hasil penelitian berdasarkan observasi motivasi belajar siswa dari siklus I sampai dengan siklus III mengalami peningkatan yaitu siklus I sebesar 52,38%, siklus II sebesar 72,63% dan siklus III sebesar 85,88%. Peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 20,25% dan dari siklus II ke siklus III sebesar 13,25%. Berdasarkan skor hasil angket motivasi belajar siswa dari siklus I sampai dengan siklus III juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu siklus I sebesar 2,88 dikatakan belum memuaskan, siklus II sebesar 3,14 dikatakan sudah memuaskan dan siklus III sebesar 3,49 dikatakan memuaskan. Peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa juga ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan hasil post test. Nilai rata-rata post test siklus I yaitu sebesar 70,13, post test siklus II yaitu sebesar 74,94 dan nilai rata-rata post test siklus III yaitu sebesar 79,65. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa dengan penggunaan metode ekspositori dan pemberian kuis dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran pengukuran listrik. ***** The purpose of the research is to improving student learning motivation with expository method and giving quizzes on the subject of electrical measurement. Research conducted in SMK Jakarta 1 from September to October 2012 using the method of classroom action research (CAR) which is done in three cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. Data in each cycle obtained through observation sheet, observation record sheet, questionnaires sheet, quiz result and post test result. Data of the research based on observation of students learning motivation from the first cycle to the third cycle, the first cycle increase 52.38%, the second cycle increase 72.63% and 85.88% for the third cycle. Improving student learning motivation from the first cycle to the second cycle is 20.25% and from the second cycle to the third cycle is 13.25%. Based on the scores of student learning motivation questionnaire result from the first cycle to the third cycle also increased by 2,88 the first cycle is not satisfed yet, the second cycle is 3.14 is said to have satisfying and third cycle of 3.49 is said to satisfy. Improving student learning motivation is also indicated by an improvement in post test result. The average value of post test in the first cycle is equal to 70.13, post test in the second cycle is equal to 74.94 and the average post test for the third cycle is equal to 79.65. Based on these result, is could be conclude that the use of expository method and giving quizzes to improve student learning motivation and also can improve student learning outcomes in subject electrical measurements.
