Abstract

Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis persepsi anggota kepolisian tentang radikalisme agama di Kepolisian Daerah Metro Jaya. Secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan persepsi atau pemahaman tentang radikalisme agama terkait sikap absolutisme, eksklusivisme, fanatisme, ekstrimisme, dan agresivisme dalam beragama. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif analisis dengan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis persepsi anggota kepolisian tentang radikalisme agama terkait sikap absolutisme, eksklusivisme, fanatisme, ekstrimisme dan agresivisme dalam beragama. Sumber data diperoleh dari observasi, hasil wawancara dan penyebaran angket kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan di Kepolisian Daerah (Polda) Metro Jaya pada bulan Februari-April tahun 2022. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu konsep persepsi menurut Stanton dan Gifford dan radikalisme agama menurut Armahedi Mahzar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan dari 40 responden dapat dinyatakan bahwa 34 responden menunjukan pemahaman yang tepat tentang radikalisme agama. Ditandai dengan 81,4% memahami dengan baik terkait masalah sikap absolutisme, 85,8% memahami dengan baik terkait masalah sikap eksklusivisme, 85,8% memahami dengan baik terkait masalah sikap fanatisme, 86,6% memahami dengan baik terkait masalah sikap ekstrimisme dan 88% memahami dengan baik terkait masalah sikap agresivisme. Pemahaman terkait tentang radikalisme agama yang paling besar atau yang paling dipahami dengan baik adalah pemahaman terkait sikap agresivisme dan pemahaman yang paling rendah adalah pemahaman terkait sikap absolutisme. ***** This research generally aims to describe and analyze the perceptions of police officers about religious radicalism in the Metro Jaya Regional Police. In particular, this study aims to find perceptions or understandings of religious radicalism related to absolutism, exclusivism, fanaticism, extremism, and aggressiveness in religion. This study uses descriptive qualitative research by describing and analyzing the perceptions of police officers about religious radicalism related to absolutism, exclusivism, fanaticism, extremism and aggressiveness in religion. Sources of data obtained from observations, interviews and questionnaires, and documentation. Observations were made at the Metro Jaya Regional Police in February-April 2022. The theory used in this study is the concept of perception according to Stanton and Gifford and religious radicalism according to Armahedi Mahzar. The results of this study indicate that from 40 respondents it can be stated that 34 respondents showed the right understanding of religious radicalism. Marked by 81.4% well understanding of the issue of absolutism, 85.8% understand well the issue of exclusivism, 85.8% have a good understanding of the issue of fanaticism, 86.6% have a good understanding of the issue of extremism and 88% understand well about the problem of aggressiveness. The understanding related to religious radicalism that is the largest or best understood is the understanding related to aggressiveness and the lowest understanding is the understanding related to the attitude of absolutism.
