Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa fenomena penggunaan internet dan jejaring sosial menjadi salah satu faktor dalam membangun karakter kepedulian yang diukur dari perilaku peserta didik. Hingga didapatkan data empiris mengenai hubungan intensitas menonton konten perubahan iklim dengan karakter kepedulian peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 93 Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data primer dan sekunder, hasil data akan dikelola IBM SPSS 25. Jumlah sampel yang diteliti adalah 74 peserta didik dari 280 peserta didik sebagai responden utama. Peneliti membuat survei google form dan mencari studi literasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan kuesioner yang valid dan sahih. Setelah didapatkan data, dilakukan uji prasyarat analisis melalui uji normalitas dan uji linearitas. Terakhir uji hipotesis dengan uji product moment, uji regresi linear sederhana dan uji koefisien korelasi. Hipotesis kerja (H1) yang diuji adalah “terdapat hubungan positif antara intensitas menonton konten perubahan iklim dengan karakter kepedulian”. Dalam uji hipotesis didapatkan hasil uji product moment dengan korelasi yang kuat dan positif antara kedua variabel. Uji regresi linear sederhana menunjukan adanya hubungan fungsional antara kedua indikator variabel penelitian. Terakhir uji koefisien korelasi bila melihat Rsquare angka keeratan hubungan di 57,3%. Kesimpulannya, ketika didapatkan hubungan yang kuat dan positif, variabel yang saling berhubungan fungsional, serta tingkat keeratan sedang di 57,3%. Maka, terdapat hubungan positif antara Intensitas Menonton Konten Perubahan Iklim dengan Karakter Kepedulian sebesar 57,3%. ***** This study aims to prove that the phenomenon of using the internet and social networks is one of the factors in building caring character as measured by the behavior of students, until empirical data is obtained regarding the relationship between the intensity of watching climate change content and the caring character of class XI students at SMAN 93 Jakarta. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods with primary and secondary data sources, and the data results will be managed by IBM SPSS 25. The number of samples studied were 74 students from 280 students as the main respondents. Researcher made a google form survey and looked for literacy studies to meet the need for valid and valid questionnaires. After obtaining the data, the analysis prerequisite test was carried out through the normality test and linearity test. Finally, the hypothesis test with the product moment test, simple linear regression test and the correlation coefficient test. The working hypothesis (H1) tested is "there is a positive relationship between the intensity of watching climate change content and the character of caring". In the hypothesis test, the product moment test results were obtained with a strong and positive correlation between the two variables. Simple linear regression test shows a functional relationship between the two research variables indicators. Finally, the correlation coefficient test shows the number of closeness of the relationship at 57.3%. In conclusion, when a strong and positive relationship is obtained, the variables are functionally related, and the level of closeness is moderate at 57.3%. Therefore, there is a positive relationship between the Intensity of Watching Climate Change Content and the Caring Character of 57.3%.
